With the help of Cole Walker, a local veterinarian and single father, Mattie and Robo must track down the truth before it claims another victim. But the more Mattie investigates, the more she realizes how many secrets her town holds. And the key may be Cole's daughter, who knows more than she's saying.

I enjoy mysteries and am a dog lover. This was the perfect book for me. I am ready for book 2, now that Mattie understands Robo and his signals more.😀

Tragedy strikes on the opening night of the Fall Crafters Fair when a woman is killed in the parking lot of Daisy's Quilt Shop and the only material witness is one of Melinda Byer's boys. The investigation takes a more bizarre turn when detective Shane Black becomes convinced the killer was actually after Callie. This time it's a madman loose in the largest crowd of the year, and he's looking for something or someone. If they can't figure out what - or who - one of Deborah and Callie's close circle of friends may be next.

I enjoyed the reader. The characters were fun and the storyline was refreshing, different, unique from other Amish stories I've read or heard.

I really enjoyed this story. The use of Bible verses and a Christian man as one of the main characters was a true blessing. It was so very heartwarming. I did guess what happened to Maggie but that did not make it any less interesting to me.
