I never paid much attention to this trial as it was going on. This book has made me aware of the gruesome nature of the murder of Travis Alexander. Also, it enlightened me further as to the ways our justice system. My only criticism is that it was a bit repetitive.
*** On top of her horrific act of jealousy and selfishness towards Alexander, Arias has made an unforgivable example of a woman crying wolf in the face of domestic violence.
To try and explain her way out of the consequences for which she faced, Jody Arias placed blame and unfounded accusations of verbal and physical abuse upon her ex-boyfriend and her parents.
Her lack of empathy and undeserved feeling of self-importance only makes it harder for those TRULY suffering from such circumstances to come forward with their own story and have faith that they will be rightfully believed and protected.
If I had it in my heart, I would be ashamed to consider her a sister of mine in this grand universe of ours. Instead, I choose to exert that energy as an unwavering advocate for victims and survivors of domestic violence.

I thoroughly enjoy DeLong on Investigation Discovery and am subscribed to her podcast. Listening to this made me respect and love her even more.
When I began listening to her stories on ID, I thought she may have been playing it up for the cameras, especially with her quippy one liners. However, this book proved me wrong. Not only do her one liners appear unexpectedly, but at the perfect time!
She was also very much involved and instrumental in huge cases that are merely mentioned in the list of her credentials on ID. DeLong's experience in paving the way for women in the FBI prove her to be an expert in the fields of murder, mayhem, profiling, awareness, and, most interesting, undercover work.
