Sam Parker is a vampire with a gift so strong and substantial that she is invited to partake in a test for a place in the Grand High Master Vampire's private army. She finds that not only has the army never included a woman, but it has never included a Svente vampire; a breed that is regarded by the super strong Pagori breed and the hypnotically beautiful Keja breed to be too tame and human-like.

I was thrilled to see this audiobook as it’s one of my favorite series. Justine Eyre was fantastic. It took a couple of chapters to get use to Ochlan female voices. He is a very good narator but doesn’t do a very good Sam. Since this is SUCH a great series I got used to his narration. I hope the rest of this series is put into audiobooks .I will buy them all.

Forget playing it safe. John "Maverick" Nelson likes to live his life on the edge - literally. A crucial member of the search and rescue team in the mountainous British Columbian town of North Ridge, Maverick's brash and bold attitude means he's the first one to ascend into danger, no matter the risk. When it comes to women, though, Maverick errs on the side of caution. For all his cocky charm, rugged good looks, and sexual swagger, he remains as unreachable as the surrounding peaks. Hot, wild sex? He'll tell you there's no better way to spend a cold, wintry night.

Would you try another book from Karina Halle and/or Alexander Cendese and Alexandra Shawnee ?

MR. Cendese yes. Ms. Shawnee absolutely NO.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Maverick?

The book yes. I highly recommend this series, but not the audio books with the female narrator.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Ms. Shawnee high squeal was so annoying that I could only get thru 3 of her chapters. If you take a chance on this audio you will see what I mean.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Maverick?

GET NEW FEMALE NARRATOR!!

Any additional comments?

I have 6,300 audiobooks. The narrator can make a bad book tolerable and a good book awful. That is the case here. Good book. Awful female narrator. The Male narrator is very good but could not get you thru the bad narrative chapters. Of all my audiobooks I think this is only the 3rd time I could not get past 20% of it. Because I loved series i bought first to books without ckng sample. Never again.

What did you love best about Mercury Striking?

I have all of Ms.Zanettis' books and audiobooks..I love the world's that she builds, the action and the romance. The H is always ALPHA and the h always sarcastic and feisty. Just the way I like them..Every one of her audio books have great narrators. I usually don't go for the male narrators because they don't do female characters as well as female narrators do male characters. This is a great book with a very good narrators and I hope the do the whole series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mercury Striking?

The first chapter..It had you hooked right off the bat.

Which character – as performed by Michael Pauley – was your favorite?

He did great job with male, female and child voices. Each character was distinctive.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YUP!!

Any additional comments?

Rebecca Zanetti is an auto buy for both kindle and audio books. Can't say that to often and I have 5,500 audio books and 10,000 kindle books.

Being the younger sister of a Wind Dragons MC member isn't as great as you'd think it would be. I can't escape the details of my brother's exploits. No one tells me anything. Men who know who I am tend to stay away from me. And worst of all: The members of the MC are off-limits. When Arrow catches my eye, I make it my mission to make him happy again. When I fall head over heels in love with him, I just hope he will be there to catch me. And that my brother doesn't kill him....

Arrow in book 1 was fairly interesting, but in this one flat and very boring. Anna is a CHILD a very immature CHILD. There is no adult relationship here, no passion ,no chemistry. Sex scenes, picture a spoiled 15 year old brat with a emotionally dead 70 year old pinning for dead girlfriend (skipped reading the last few). Perhaps if dual POV were presented it might have helped but I doubt it. The next book is about Tracker and Lana I think characters in this book who are flat and boring (Lana), and a spoiled mentally15 year old(Tracker best friend of spoiled 15year Anna in this book) think I will pass.

K. F. Breene has become one of my favorite authors and an automatic buy for anything she publishes.
This is a continuation of her "Chosen" series and it is great each book is better than the last and as we all know usually by book three in most series we shut down and stop reading. Breene like Gabaldon, Singh, Ward and Wright we can't get enough. Breene also has a knack for getting the right Narrator for her books. Davies is FANTASTIC in the Chosen series as is Woodard in the In to Darkness series ( another fantastic series if you haven't read it you should do so.)
You get to meet the rest of Shantie's people who blend in great, and as usual the interaction with Sanders (my favorite secondary character of all time) are a hoot..
The action in top notch and the romance between Shanti and The Captain heats up more. I love the story line of the women of the city stepping up to kick ass of bad guys in the particular way..Loved it.
BRAVO!! Ms. Breene I am so enjoying your books and your audiobooks...Please can we get the rest of the Into the Darkness series on Audiobook...also ck out her books under Willow Summer name they are very good..

Would you try another book from Alanea Alder and/or Aundrea Mitchell?

The books are very good, the narrator was AWFUL! !. I have over 4,000 audiobooks I know a good narrator is everything. This was the worst narration of a book that I have listened to. I COULD NOT get past the 1st chapter that's how BAD it was. I do highly recommend reading the books though.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Aundrea Mitchell?

PLEASE! just about anyone would have been better. .I would say Traci Odom, Devra Woodward, Caitlin Davies, Angela Dawes, Hillary Huber, Paula Costello and the list goes on. This narrator I never want to here again my ears bled

Any additional comments?

PLEASE! Pick a new narrator if you continue this series

There are three things you need to know about Elizabeth Bennett: She's smart as a whip, always in control, and lives by a set of carefully crafted rules. She's learned the hard way that people you love the most always hurt you in the end. But then she meets Declan Blay, the new neighbor at her apartment complex. A tattooed British street fighter, he's the campus bad boy she's supposed to avoid, but when he saves her from a frat party gone bad, all her rules about sex and love fly out the window.

I love Lorraine Heath and this is the first of a great trilogy with action ,romance and suspense.. Faye Adele is fabulous as the narrator of all 3 audio books..She is terrific with both male and female voices as well as children's voices.. Unlike some of the narrators chosen for Ms. Heath's audio books where the 19 or 20 year old female lead sounds like 40, and the 20 early 30 male leads sounds 80 you will not be disappointed with Faye Adele narration. It is perfect..
