As head of security to Stage Dive, one of the biggest rock bands in the world, Sam Knowles has plenty of experience dealing with trouble. But spoiled brat Martha Nicholson just might be the worst thing he’s ever encountered. The beautiful troublemaker claims to have reformed, but Sam knows better than to think with what’s in his pants. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to make his heart fall into line.

I love the Stage Dive series and so I wish this was a full length book. For me it was more of an idea for a book. It used the same characters. It tied up a few loose ends from the series. And it was a cute story. I highly recommend you listen to the first 4 books.

I know it isn't fair but every book I listen to by Christina Lauren I end up comparing it to their Sweet Filthy Boy. And because of that I can't give My Favorite Half-Night Stand five stars. It is a good book but it isn't their best. It has all the right ingredients. Snappy dialog, likable characters, decent story line, HEA ending, but it never really made me emotionally invest in them. The female narrator is good and the male narrator is to a lessor extent. As I said it may not be their best work, but it was still worth the credit.

Being an undercover poison taster for the rich and famous might sound glamorous, but for Isobel Avery it means stomaching bad clients and even worse coffee. The one side of the job that lives up to expectations is the money. Which is just as well for Izzy, since she needs an awful lot of it. Who knew when she made a lifelong commitment to a man that it would be one year living with him and the rest of her life paying for it?

The first in the series Eat Pray Die is a fun cozy mystery built around a truly unique premise. Who knew the Hollywood rich and famous needed taste testers? Izzy has moved from Australia to SoCal for an urgently needed job. Conner is her hunky boss, Arthur her roommate, Meow the cat, Mr Black the enforcer and Etta the spunky elderly neighbor (who I’m convinced is ex-CIA). All are delightful and add to the fun. Can't wait to listen to the other books.

FYI, for those who have listened to the original Eat Pray Die audio book the biggest change is that the characters finally have their proper accents. It is well worth a second credit.

Returning home for her father’s wedding was never going to be easy for Adele. If being sent away at 18 hadn’t been bad enough, the mess she left behind when she made a pass at her dad’s business partner sure was. Fifteen years older than her, Pete had been her crush for as long as she could remember. But she’d misread the situation - confusing friendliness for undying love. Awkward. Seven years on, things are different. Adele is no longer a kid, but all it takes is seeing him again to bring back all those old feelings.

Add one part strong sexy female to one part complicated hunky man candy. Add a couple of key side characters and you get fun snappy dialog, a compelling story and HEA. Well worth a credit. One question though, Aussie characters, story set in Australia, written by an Australian author but not a hint of an Aussie accent. What’s up with that?

But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she's spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything.

The almost constant winning and meekness of the main character in the first 18 chapters drove me crazy! Too much of the book was dedicated to painting a picture of a perfect Stepford Wife, emotionally beaten down by her husband and redesigned into her mother-in-law’s concept of a proper wife. Instead of building sympathy for the character it actually left me wanting to slap her silly and return the audio book! Luckily I didn’t.

The whole book was told with good humor and fun side characters. In the end she grows into her own person and just like in fairy tales gets her Charming Prince.

Schwartz is haunted by his service in Iraq and has lived the past last 10 years in a self-imposed isolation. Janelle is a city girl running scared from her ruthless and possessive ex-husband. Both are dealing with traumatic memories and the feeling of guilt for mistakes they’ve made. The question becomes can they give themselves permission to be loved by the other before their past catches up with them.
After my initial thoughts that I had heard it all before, I was delighted to be pulled into Janelle and Schwartz's story. The side characters, including the Moose, added to the tale. Definitely worth a credit.

Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell. Reality can never be as good at the fantasy, right? Wrong. It's better. Banner Regent is smart, funny, and so far out of my league she might as well be royalty. I'm a mechanic from Kentucky. She's a New York City party girl. We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming. How do you seduce the woman who already has everything? Show her what it's like to be with a real good man.

#1 Books like this one should come with a warning label telling us it is a cliffhanger. We shouldn't have to get to the end of the book or read the reviews to find out that we will need to purchase a second book to complete the story! #2 FYI Do not buy this book if you are squeamish about back door sex. #3 Despite # 1 & 2 I enjoyed this book. The narration was excellent and the story and humor were entertaining. That said the second book will need to be spectacular to justify another credit!
