I would recommend reading this book if you ever liked Jewel's music, it will definitely make you take a second listen to all her songs. this book is also incredibly moving and inspiring. I did not pick up this book expecting to be inspired. I would almost say that this book could pass for self help, but it is also an amazing story in and of itself.

If you love the show you will love the books and if you have never seen the show you will love the books... because they are amazing. The narrator isn't my favorite, there are little errors but there are so many characters to remember that it isn't surprising he forgets what certain characters sound like. It is the same narrator all the way through, so at least there is consistentcy. It doesn't detract from the story line in any way, not sure that much could. They are expensive books but totally worth it.

I feel like this book could have potential. I only listened to the first episode. I think it's a little unnecessarily crude and the writing isn't my favorite. The narrators are good, so that helps a lot. I also feel like there are a lot of similaries (so far) with many other story lines I have read or watched.
