Queeny cocktail waiter Lionel wakes up to find himself in bed with Dog, a straight-acting softball player, and the two embark on a rocky road to romance. A journey that requires coming out of the closet, going into the closet, a pair of red high heels, many pairs of red high heels, a failed intervention, a couple of aborted dates, and homemade pom-poms. Mostly, Lionel and Dog learn what it means to be a man.

I read Femme some months ago and absolutely enjoyed it, so I jumped at the opportunity to review it through Audiobook Boom.

Femme told the story of the relationship between Dog, a macho guy, and Lionel, who was more effeminate. Despite Dog’s attraction to Lionel, he struggled with coming out of the closet and not being ashamed to be seen with Lionel. Femme shows the growth, and it was a funny and entertaining.

I gave the story a 4/5 after reading it months ago, but after listening to the flawless narration by Joel Leslie, I bumped it up to a 5. The narration was amazing!!!

As the personal development expert Brian Tracy says, you have two choices in life: you can either work on your own goals, or you can work for someone else and help them achieve their goals. Did you know that only a small percentage of the population has clearly written goals that they work on every day? These are the people who end up achieving the most in life. You've probably reached the point where you realize that setting goals might be beneficial and I'm here to tell you that you're entirely right.

Having ended last year with Jim Rohn’s audiobook on Goal Setting, I was delighted to listen to Thibaut Meurisse’s audiobook, Goal Setting. It was a good follow-up and was more practical than inspirational. It's short, full of useful information, and easy to follow.

I thought it was well-researched. The ideas weren’t particularly novel, but it was arranged in a way to make the ideas accessible. My only negative was that the author included too many quotes from other self-help gurus, which distracted me because I kept stopping to look for their work. (Is that good or bad? Who knows?! :-) )

Overall, however, it was a good book, and I would read other material from him. Good job, Mr. Meurisse. I've accomplished one of my small goals so far. Kudos! :-)

Ok, let me start with the narration since that was THE winner. Kirt Graves is ahhhmmmaaaazing!!! He did a super job narrating. The voices were distinct and the emotions were unmistakable. I don’t think I’ve heard him narrating before, and it was an excellent experience.

Now the actual story -- I really struggled through this. And it was waaaay tooo long. I love TJ Klune, but this was exhausting.

This romance was very different. It was pure and old school. Its quaintness worked, but I guess I prefer a little more grit. The end, though, was beautiful as the story kept up guessing until the very end. Nice and sweet, but not outstanding.

This audiobook was a good introduction to different aspects of mindfulness. It was simple, straightforward, and easy to understand, and could be useful if you want to incorporate these practices.

It covers everything you need to get started; however, it is an introduction. You will need to read further for deeper analysis.

It was a good introduction, though.

It’s graphic in parts and this adds to the intensity. Great listen but leaves you with many questions.

I enjoyed this! I’m not really a fan of MMM, but the emotions engendered were so tender that I overlooked it.

Ok, so it opens with Steve and Joey and they are lovely together. They had great chemistry, and their relationship worked. Steve I disliked from Book 2! Absolutely disliked! But I found myself moving away from disliking him to genuinely caring about him. I loved how he cared for Joey.

Then Adam is introduced, and we see that his life is a mess. He’s broke and homeless, and soon Joey realizes this and invites him to live with himself and Steve. Eventually, Adam works for Steve and they get to understand each other better.

Steve is aware of the feelings Joey had for Adam (a guy he worked alongside at Paddles) and was never threatened by those feelings. Matter of fact, he encouraged them. Soon, Steve also begun to care for Adam and the feelings developed and deepened among them.

Their love became complete. Their chemistry – wonderful. Sweet! ☺
