Would you consider the audio edition of Story to be better than the print version?

For my convenience I own both audio & kindle versions of this book. For me they fill different functions. I don' t think either is better, it's really a matter of the reader's needs & preference. However, I find that the audio version of the book allows more versatility & flexibility than the kindle version. For example, I can listen as I drive or do dishes, an impossibility with any version I'd have to read myself.

What did you like best about this story?

The generous amount of usable information the author shared.

What does Robert McKee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Hearing the book read by the author Robert McKee, is literally getting the story directly from the source exactly as he intended it should be provided for his audience.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Story?

I think I will apply the solutions Mr. McKee shared in the section entitled "Problems & Solutions."

If you are serious about writing, this is a book you'll want among your reference books.

What made the experience of listening to The Step-By-Step Guide to Writing a Novel for Fiction Writers and Novelist the most enjoyable?

It got to the point and stayed on point. There was no self-promotion/buddy promotion or fluff. It delivered the goods in a concise manner.

What other book might you compare The Step-By-Step Guide to Writing a Novel for Fiction Writers and Novelist to and why?

Two books come to mind. Million dollar outlines & Story, though not as concise, I make the comparison because both authors provided there readers with quantitative information that can launch a career or take it to that higher level.

Yes, I found it delightful and refreshing. Each chapter covered the topic promised with no fluff, ego trips, or marketing.
