Fast paced, intense emotions. Yes a cliffhanger but well worth the read and really looking forward to the next book. Nalini never fails to deliver and exceptional story. Lots of appearances of previous characters along with new ones. No author can please everyone, but I really loved it.

When she defies her captors and refuses to share her music, an act of violent cruelty leaves her broken, her ability to play silenced, maybe forever. Would you consider the audio edition of Spellbinder to be better than the print version?

I love the Elder Races series. I wondered about Morgan and this is a wonderful story about persevering under very difficult circumstances. Really looking forward to the next installment.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Morgan and Sid were both my favorites. The dynamic between them was great.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Sid was bargaining with Lord Azrael.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen in one sitting and listened again.

Any additional comments?

Was sorry to get to the end but it was worth it. When is the next one?

Faeolyn, Evelyn, Az'ria, and Nadyanelle are not sisters. They are not even sisters of the same race! Faeolyn is a mischievous angel who wants nothing more than to wield a sword. Gentle Evelyn is part elf, part dryad and given her lineage, is totally one with the trees. Az'ria is a fiery drakonian, a descendant of the dragons, with a past full of betrayal and captivity and as a result, will only use her claws and fangs to get her point across. Finally, sweet Nadyanelle is mysteriously part mermaid, a halfling yet to be encountered, who loves to sing and weave flowers.

Really enjoying the development of Eve and Roarkes marriage and team work.

For as far back as she can remember, Airiana Ridell has always been aware of her extraordinary gift. She can intuit revealing and illuminating "patterns" in the air around her - whether in a spray of mist, in billowing clouds, or in the dense swirls of an impenetrable fog. Her abilities led to her placement in a secret government training facility when she was a child, but everything changed after her mother was murdered.

Story is excellent - an adventure away from Sea Haven. Ariana's father is quite a revelation. Maximum Prakinski is an excellent hero full of angst. Plenty of villains and heroes. The only thing I did not like is the misprounouncement of previous names in the series. This is a major distraction and annoyance for me. Levi Prakenski's name is alway different from Water Bound and every time it threw me out of the story. Same thing happens in Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series. Narrators should always listen to previous books in a series to correct this flaw.
