The way the book started, I was wondering if this installment was going to be off track...but it quickly picked up steam and I liked how it developed. Great characters. If you like the series, you will like this book.

I found the story quite engaging. Just when you think things are coming to a head...there are other twists. Very good from that perspective. On a personal note, I did not like the narration as much. That is more a personal thing than anything else. Some narrators resonate more than others with me. Still a good listen though. Main character can pretty much do it all.

I thought this was a good historical read and Scott Brick was awesome as narrator. I thought the author added a bit too much filler to lengthen the book which could have been better spent but overall I found it enjoyable. It details a chapter in our history I did not know happened and I found it enjoyable to learn about it. I recommend the book.

I thought the first installment of the series was s little far afield, but this second installment hits a good stride. The characters were interesting and there were some good plot twists. When the action happens, it has you on the edge of your seat. I thought it well done and the narration first rate...

I love the series and overall, the book was ok....but when you compare it to the full body of work in the series....this one was somewhere in the middle. I felt the case was a little weak compared to some of the others. I liked the book....but did not love the book of that makes sense. I think the author could have dug a little deeper on the storyline.

I love this series and have listened to all the books to date....but this one struggled a bit to get going. The author spent a little too much time getting to the meat of the story. Once there, it did not disappoint, but I felt a lot more effort could have gone into development of the actual story and a lot less on the happenings around the main character. Still, if you like the series, you will like the book.

I love the series and have read all the books...but this one left me a bit disappointed. Most of the book is a disjointed hodgepodge of jumping all over the place trying to build a story while outlining interesting facts about Poland. Great if you are playing trivial pursuit but not so good if you are writing an installment of the Ryan jr series. The author forgot one of the main draws of the series is the interaction of the Campus characters....without that going on, the book is lacking. Scott Brick does a great job with narration as always....but authors need to get back to campus business in full. An ok installment when compared to the others.

The thing I like about this series is while the main character has a gift, he also has flaws. While he is solving a crime, he is also dealing with those flaws. The story is tight and fast paced. The characters are developed well and put into different settings. You won’t figure it out till the end. If you like the series, you will like this book.

I listened to this book in the hopes of it being a WWII thriller of sorts. What it really is, for the most part, is someone telling a story. Yes, there is some dialogue between characters...but not nearly enough to save the book from being a sort of diary. Not what I thought it was going to be. Just a little lacking.

The first installment in this series was very good. The second book, not quite so. This installment somewhere in between. It takes the author too long to get to the central story line hence the beginning is somewhat boring. Once the central storyline begins, things pick up and hold together quite well...But if I were reading this in paper back, there would be some copious skipping. The series is good...the narration quite good...the author just needs to speed things up a bit.
