Amara was content to live as a lone wolf, the only one of her kind - or so she'd thought. Her world was flipped on its head when a strange man with a familiar scent showed up at her work, demanding a private meeting. Desperate to find the mate Luc had scented from 400 miles away, he was shocked to find her living as a lone wolf. Amaroki women were to be cherished and protected. What had happened to her family? More importantly, how was he going to convince her to return to the reservation with him? And how would his possessive brothers react when they found him with Amara?

This book was definitely hot. Reverse harem so, listeners need to realize that before listening to it.

Lots to learn in this first book. Such a culture shock for Amara. I like how she doesn't really let her mates or their/her family push her around.

Lots of action, lots of heat.

This narrator took a bit if getting used to but, she did a good job bringing the story to life.

The big snag: Sam and Maggie's chemistry is hot enough to melt ice, which makes keeping their secret far more difficult than either expected. Especially when one of them decides they want this arrangement to be more than just a catch and release.

This book was a trip from beginning to end! An enjoyable, maddening, frustrating, funny, sexy trip!

These characters are just perfect! Not as in unflawed but, perfectly imperfect and such excellent compliments to one another. Maggie is effervescent, and quirky, determined, and doing things for all the wrong reasons. Sam is down to earth, level headed, and a bit closed off. Neither was prepared for the other.

Witty, funny, and so frustrating at times...what she can't see, he sees like crystal. Sometimes I just wanted to shake her!

Excellent message in the book...if you have to change for someone to accept you, they're doing it wrong.

The narrators were PERFECT for this book. Loved it!

I really liked this deeper look into a classic character.

Vanessa got the raw end of the deal her whole life...always living in her younger brother's shadow, never good enough no matter how she tried.

She's different, she's powerful, and the past is full of secrets she never guessed at.

Dark and a bit heartbreaking. Really puts a different spin on things and makes so much sense.

The narrator took a bit of getting used to but, I think she did a really good job bringing the story to life and, I enjoyed the sound effects!

Four years ago, I lost my virginity on live, streaming television. Too bad I wasn’t awake for it. Three of the four guys in the video shared me. But that fourth guy, who did nothing? That was my boyfriend, Drew. And that was the last time I saw him. Until today, when my father - now on a path to the White House - hired him as head of security for my new team as I return home after four years of “recovering” in an undisclosed location that involved white lab coats, needles, pills, and damage control.

With each journey Josie takes she learns more and more about herself and the world's she's dropped into. It's been amazing watching her learn and grow, to accept and change. Each new era with whole new sets of dangers that she must overcome.

Being that it IS a connected series, this one will leave you on one hellofa spine tingling cliffhanger!

As always, this narrator is PERFECT for this series and brings the book to life in vivid detail.

Like Josie, I really can't help but hate Carter. Thrust in situations she has no control over. Learning to live and trust, just to be yanked out at the worst possible moments. The big question, what is it all for?

There's a turning point in every war, but I didn't expect this one to be in my front yard. Allies of the Fae king have moved against the military stationed in Saint Charles. Our unsteady alliances are threatening to fracture, providing the water witches and vampires an opportunity to strike. With losses on both sides, things are far more dire than we realized, and the return of a long-forgotten enemy has made that clear. Thankfully, I know a very grumpy parrot.
