Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

I had never read Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book as a child and always thought that the Disney version was like the original. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is not. it is so much better. I am glad I listened to it, rather than read it, because the sound affects made it come alive in my minds eye.

The former high school queen bee - and wealthy darling of Bloom, Texas - has returned home after all these years, riding on a common bus and bearing two bounced alimony checks. In a town that thrives on gossip, Jennie’s fall from grace has shamed her mother, set the town buzzing, and caused old, jealous enemies to whisper in delight. They say she’s taken a job as a housekeeper, gotten a garage apartment, and might be crushing on Rick Lawson, a simple farmer with modest dreams.

I have always known angels were real and among us and now I feel that I can share that knowledge with others in a way that does not sound science fiction. it was one of your best series. I agree, it is righr behind my favorites, not after, The Baxter series, but neck to neck.

I have never been to a Broadway show but if I did it would be Fiddler on the Roof. I have the DVD and I've watched it many times and I have also wondered what may have happened to these characters in between the lines. I absolutely love this book and having it sung live and hearing it on Audible makes me feel as if I were there. And having the author to sing it to me makes me feel that I was actually part of Fiddler on the Roof

The demons of Roman's past seem to echo through the halls of his empty mansion and out across his breathtaking Topanga Canyon view. Comedy superstar Mike Myers writes from the (true patriot) heart about his 53-year relationship with his beloved Canada. Mike Myers is a world-renowned actor, director and writer and the man behind some of the most memorable comic characters of our time. But, as he says, "No description of me is truly complete without saying I'm a Canadian". He has often winked and nodded to Canada in his outrageously accomplished body of work, but now he turns the spotlight full-beam on his homeland.

The only thing I knew about Canada before reading this book is that it has beautiful landscapes and that it's on my bucket list of places to visit. He is so right, No one in the states knows much about Canada. I learned so much about Canada by reading this book. but I am glad that I read this book before reading another book about Canada because I feel like I was able to see the real Canada and not just a tourist spot. It was made so much better by having the author read the book. I have always loved Mike Meyers, the actor, and it was amazing to meet Mike Meyers, the person. I like them both equally as much. Thank you Mike for a wonderfully written book.
