Story
If Darcy Barrett hadn’t met her dream man when she was eight years old, the rest of the male population wouldn’t be such a let-down. No one measures up to Tom Valeska, aka the best man on Earth, not in looks, brain, or heart. Even worse is the knowledge that her twin brother Jamie saw him first, and claimed him forever as his best friend. Tom’s off limits and loyal to her brother, 99 percent. One percent of Tom has had to be enough for Darcy, and her adoration has been sustained by his shy kindness. And if she’s honest, his tight t-shirts.

Disappointed
Reviewed: 02-01-19
While there were some interesting parts and people, it felt superficial and forced. I actually wouldn't have finished playing it if I didn't have it on auto-play because I couldn't sleep. There was so much potential, but I came away feeling blah and is it going to ever end?!
I was especially disappointed because I loved "The Hating Game." And this book left me depressed.

The story is very predictable and slow. I kept looking at the index thinking it should be ending. Worse, every pivotal part was cut short. It desperately needs a good Editor.

Story
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Story
After being drugged and captured by Animal Control, Max Adams is on Hoboken's doggie death row when his life mate adopts him, takes him home, and promptly names him Fluffy. While JC, in all her new-pet-owner-ness, feeds "Fluffy" vile kibble, dresses him in mortifying dog couture, and schedules to have his manhood removed, Max's human side gets to know JC. Especially in the biblical sense.

Sex Foreverrrrrrr... didn't hit the right spot!
Reviewed: 02-21-18
I've read her "Accidently Paranormal" series. It has a richness and depth to its characters and the sex is just right for the stories. It's pretty sweet. Maybe this Werewolf series is older because strangely, the volume of sex is way out there. It's not really erotic - it's simply more, longer, drawn out, kinda-crude, ho-hum sex. It was definetely missing something, if that was the intent.. All I got was a predictable "Ho-Hum" story. I'll have to do a little research before I try another one of her books.

Story
For Rose Gardner, working at the DMV on a Friday afternoon is bad even before she sees a vision of herself dead. She's had plenty of visions, usually boring ones like someone's toilet's overflowed, but she's never seen one of herself before. When her overbearing momma winds up murdered on her sofa instead, two things are certain: There isn't enough hydrogen peroxide in the state of Arkansas to get that stain out, and Rose is the prime suspect.

The accent in the narration was just too much... in the beginning especially. I couldn't pay attention to the story anytime I'd try to start listening. However, I'm glad I finally got through that initial part because it's turned out to be a sweet story with strong characters. Hopefully book two will be even better!

Like many sequels, this one doesn't live up to the previous books. It's ok.... I was looking for Mayberrys touch on the story. This one doesn't draw you in or bring to life the characters. Can't blame the narrator - he didn't write the story.

If you like a book with strong characters, mystery, relationships and realism, you'll love this series. It is one of those you'll enjoy just as much the next time; even when you know what's going going to happen. It has a richness and quality to it that brings to life the town and history and it's such a breathe of fresh air. The cover is really a terrible fit for this book and easily looked over. However, the voice of Ronconi is perfect and adds so much here to bring it to life. I could go on gushing, so I'll stop now and just say... It's a hidden gem and I can't wait for more of her books!!!
