Such a refreshing story, tenderly and beautifully written. I laughed, I cried and related to Oxford, having lived in the UK for 6 years. Julia does such an excellent job of the narration, it was hard to believe it was just one person. Please give us more from you as an author.

The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old, and we shared a summer beneath the stars. The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart. We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars...until we both got swept away.

I loved this story and everything about it. It was real, raw and emotional. However, as an ex-South African, I don't feel the female narrator did a great job did a great job of imitating it and at one stage was pretty annoying. The male author (Ian) had no hints of a South African accent. I did like some of the origanal Afrikaans words thrown in there.

Having been born in Zimbabwe and later growing up in South Africa, I knew I could not, not read this book. I am now a US Citizen myself. I loved every minute of this story and was drawn to it in a deep way. The author certainly did his research and the narration was excellent. The emotions I felt sometimes took my breath away. Always remember "it's never too late!"

They say it happens when you least expect it. It did for me. It started the moment I saw the simple message pop up on my computer screen: Cameron’s Mac: Hi. And when I met the eyes of the gorgeous man messaging me from across the coffee shop, I never thought my reply would lead to the most intense, sexual, and passionate relationship of my life. We both agreed to check our bags at the door and put our future hopes and aspirations on the table. It worked. I fell in love with his no-holds-barred attitude, sexy smirk, and undeniably good heart...and for a while we forgot about our baggage.

Greyson Ratcliffe. I met him at 16, the hot new guy sitting on my jetty, an aspiring artist just passing through. He was my first kiss and my first love. I wanted forever with him. I didn't even get a year. Five years later, I'm a budding writer who scripts stories of love and struggle, the good and the bad and the ups and the downs. He's a star on the rise - his wicked talent and crazy good looks have his face plastered on countless magazines. We move in two different worlds and still our paths cross again. We're older and wiser and as crazy about each other as we were as teenagers.

I'm getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.

The narrator are the best and I love them in any story but apart from that, this was such a heart-warming, emotional and real story. Although it is a stand alone story, I do wish I had read Heather's story before this one.
