These men have a long relationship but now their love is being tried and tested by forces outside of their control. It is hard to think about one person's hate could spread so far and lead to so many horrible consequences. And yet there is the hope that is presented in another pastor who shows a different way. While this story takes Luke and Simon through a roller coaster of emotions we get to see that love can win and yet it seems to take a beating. It is also a reminder to remain true to those most important to use not matter what presses us from outside.

Her life destroyed by a stalker, Uzuri Cheval starts anew in Tampa and joins the exclusive Shadowlands club. Unconvinced of her claims that she can overcome her fear of big men without help, Master Z gives her a time limit. And she is improving - until she hears the stalker is out of prison. Now her time limit is up, and the Masters will intervene, which is okay - as long as whoever helps her is short. Okay, sweet and gentle would be good, too. But two Doms? Dangerously experienced and dauntingly powerful cousins? No way.

Uzuri carries a good deal of baggage some of which she isn't even aware of as the story starts. The cousins (Alistair and Max) seem like an unlikely match for this fearful young woman. Each man comes with his own strengths and skills set that seem to be the key for the healing to begin. I love the strength that Uzuri is able to show as she decides to take back control of her own life.

Once again we see the importance of friendship both those who have been together for a long time. And those friendships that are just starting to form. Another strong pair fight the past to make a future together. Also, since I was listening to this at the same time as reading Cardo Conditioning I realized that these two worlds sort of cross each other.

Injured in the line of duty, FBI special agent Shane Donovan is longing for a few days of peace and quiet. Some nice meals, a couple of good books, and maybe a bottle of the best. No family, no friends, no fa la la la la...just a little time on his own to think things through. But an offshore storm, a geriatric treasure hunter, and the guy who dumped him without a word two years earlier are about to unwrap all Shane's carefully laid holiday plans.

Omegas were hard to come by worldwide. While I would have preferred to mate for love, it didn't seem that it was in the cards for me. I had taken over as pack Alpha five years earlier, and it was high time that I started adding to the pack population. Less even than a marriage of convenience, purchasing an Omega at the auction was more of a long-term service contract, a means to an end, so what was an Alpha to do when he found his soul mate on the auction block?

Artie needs a hero, a man like those he's always revered in Golden Age films. His drug-dealing jerk of a roommate got him arrested, and since his savior isn't likely to sweep in and save the day, Artie calls a bail bondsman. August has always imagined himself a hero from a black-and-white movie, but he's never found a man willing to let him play that role - at least not until he gets the call from Artie. Both of their dreams might come true, but not before August must use his skills as a bounty hunter as well as a bondsman.
