Imagine how dominant you would be if you consistently played poker in the zone. You make all the right decisions, know instinctively when to bluff, and are unfazed by a losing hand. You're locked in and feel unbeatable. It's shocking how many poker players stumble into this elusive state of mind. As quickly as that euphoric feeling of invincibility arrives, it's gone. And no matter how hard they try, they can't get it back. Until now. In The Mental Game of Poker 2, author and renowned poker mental game coach Jared Tendler breaks down the zone and delivers actionable steps to help players get there consistently.

This is my first audio book, therefore I have no other narrators to compare it to. the main reason I purchased this is because I saw Tendler himself was the speaker. After listening to his podcast and reading this book many times already I was thrilled because I consider Jared to be a close personal aid. Hearing his voice helps each word sink closer to my heart and into my soul. I have read all the reviews for this book shocked it didn't have 5 stars all around. The most common negative point is the narration. I urge anyone who feels this way to go listen to The Mental Game podcast and get to know Tendler the way so many have.

I highly recommend purchasing an ebook copy as well, this text helped me to reinforce knowledge I already had. Knowing it gave me an advantage others may not have. So read it first, listen along or after if not both. This is the type of book you need to go cover to cover on 1-2 times a year if you really want to get the most out of yourself in life. It is the so called "human handbook" that so many people claim does not exist. As you grow and change different parts of the book will speak to you different ways, at different times. This book, like goal setting in general is a moving target that you must be dynamic to hit.
