I enjoyed this whole series by X. Aratare and Michael Pauley did a great job on the narration. I really enjoyed his differentiation of the characters in this series as I had not heard him do accented dialog before. Although it is a "story old as time" as the song goes, this one has a great twist to make it different from all the other beauty/beast type stories you have heard. I read the books and listened to the audible both. All three are well worth your time and well worth a credit.

I had not read anything by KuroKoneko Kamen nor had I listened to Burks Rives prior to this book. I won the audio in a contest. I must say that I was a little lost at first in the book not knowing the characters which is a failing on my part rather than the author's. However, it was not too far into the book that I was hooked and enjoyed the rest of the story. Burks Rives does a great job with the narration and brought a great dimension to the story. I would suggest you read/listen to the other books first, but this book is totally worth a listen!

The author is an excellent wordsmith, and it is a joy to read her work. I read this book before I listened to the audio. Not only were the main characters great, but the supporting characters were really interesting, AND Joel Leslie brought an already great book into another dimension with his excellent portrayal of the characters. His voicing of the characters and their emotions is wonderful. He brought the written word to life for me. Spend the credit, this one is worth it!
