The strong performance by Peter Joyce drives this fantastic crossover. I read this series in written form many years ago and I find that they are holding their own in audio format. This is a solid addition to the series

Narrative is as bad as text to speech software:(

I can not fathom why the producers of the series persist with this narrator. The performance has as much emotion in it as would a text to speech program.
On top of that, the story deviates from the main characters and is like a spin off from the original series.

the narration just keeps getting worse and worse

this has got be one of the worst attempts at story telling I've experienced. pronouncing names incorrectly and when did the Mud People start talking like Al Capone. tragic echo effects top off an overall crap job. This is a great example of how to destroy a good story in one easy lesson.

Completely ruined by the choice of narrator. Please consider re-recording with a more appropriate narrator

This great series has been marred with poor narrator choices. Unfortunately this is no exception.

This is a great representation of a typical tale of wizards and magic. Well worth reading

Some of the characters blended into each other making it difficult to distinguish between them. Apart from that it is a good story that is well performed

I found it difficult to maintain focus on the story at times and the story felt quite one dimensional after reading the Song of Fire and Ice series
