The folks in Mike Erikson's small New England town would say he's just your average, everyday guy. And that's exactly how Mike likes it. Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.

I followed the advice of other reviewers and read 14 first. I really enjoyed it and so I bought The Fold. You really do need to read 14 first to better understand what is going on even though they are both stand alone novels. I was unsure if I would like this genre and was pleasantly surprised when I couldn't stop listening. I highly recommend both 14 and The Fold. The Fold had me confused several times but I stuck with it and everything came together. Peter Clines has a wonderfully strange imagination that had me glued to my listening devices. The narrator, Ray Porter, has become one of my favorite readers. I will definitely look for more novels read by him. This book and its counterpart, 14, is worth the credits.

Yet this may not be the worst of it, as an insidious "ally" has lent their support. At what cost can a planet on the brink come back from such desperate odds?

Mark Tufo has done it again. This is a fabulous addition to the Indian Hill series. I've been addicted to Mark Tufo's books and have re-read this series, the zombie fallout series and the lycan series several times. I cannot wait for the next book in this series to be released. This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. The narrator is perfect and has become one of my favorite narrators. Do not hesitate to buy this book. You won't regret the purchase or the use of a credit.

Deputy coroner Mattie Winston knows a thing or two about dead bodies. That's why she's on the case of Derrick Ames, a high school math teacher stabbed to death with a barbecue fork straight to the heart. Sure, she's turned up some motives and a few suspects, but nothing adds up. Especially when the evidence points to Ames's teenage son. Newly pregnant Mattie can't believe it, even as her own long-estranged father may be following her.

I really enjoy this series and will probably re-read it in the future. This book was interesting and entertaining but did have several spots that seemed to drag and I wanted the story to just get going. Other than that, this was a great book and the narrator was very good. I highly recommend this whole series to anyone who loves a good cozy mystery.

This series is wonderful. Entertaining with just the right amount of technical details, mystery and just a bit of humor. The main character is well filled out. I finish one book and immediately have to start the next one. I highly recommend each of these books. The narrator does seem to be unable to breathe through her nose but I get so involved with the story that the nasal tone of the reader doesn't bother me overmuch.

I read this book in hardback and thought it was a very good book, very entertaining while still being suspenseful. When I LISTENED to the book on Audible, I WAS HOOKED. This became my favorite Dean Koontz novel ever. The narrator was excellent and added so much more to the book itself. I plan on listening to more books read by John Bedford Lloyd. If you are unsure whether you want to spend a credit on this book or not, I suggest you go for it. You won't be sorry.
