Alvin woke in a room that was not his, to discover that he had died and his brain had been bargained off cheaply to pay off someone else’s debt. It did not sit well with him. It didn’t surprise him that even in death, people were still using him for their own purposes. He had never exactly been a good guy, but everyone had their breaking point, and he had found his. The bastards in charge had uploaded his mind into a virtual death game. The whole world could now pay to see him play it and probably die. Regardless, he was not about to wait for death to come for him.

The story is great until everyone starts fucking. Sure the first time is like "oh hey sexy times cool!" BUT it's to the point now where it's like dude KEEP it in your pants! I just want to hear more of the world you have built not a bad F-list sex RP. get back to shooting shit and driving around in an awesome car. a good amount of the run time is just bad erotica. Listen i don't write these unless i have something to say about the book, but this was a GREAT story at the start, but i'm flagging in the second half. The worst thing about it is i want to know what happens next, but the bad erotica is forcing me out of the story. Pro tip just skip the erotica, and it's alight it normally runs about 2 to 3 mins in the run time just skip it and be done with it. You really are not missing anything.

at first i wasn't a fan of the book. really i dropped the credit because of the cover art for it, sue me cute girls with ears and tails are cute, but when you really get down into the book it really does come alive. i started to really relate to the two MCs, and as they started to care more and more for each other i found that i was as well. I don't often take time to write these, but i really think if you give this time you'll learn to care for these characters as much as i do. I would read more of what this author has to offer. even if the references to Stockholm syndrome was a bit jarring at first first for a fantasy book.

In his attempt to delay his appearance in Emperor's court, Crown Prince Georg triggers an alien invasion of his own star system. The whole of the Empire watches the live broadcast with bated breath as his fleet battles the awesome invaders. The Iseyeks - gigantic sentient praying mantises - are suitably impressed too, so they promptly remind the Crown Prince of his allied duties. The Sector Eight Fleet hurries to the Swarm's aid...but sadly disregards the insects' hive mentality.
