Not only does it explain the story of Palpatine/Sidious, it speaks to the possible rumors of who Supreme Leader Snoak is. It leaves off at the beginning of Episode II, which is excellent.

The story sucks you in and really does a great job of making you develop feelings for the characters. I felt the narrator was a little flat and compared to other books I've listened to she made it a little difficult to distinguish between a few of characters, though this is the only book read by her I have ever listened to, perhaps she felt it would be better read the way she did. That's didn't take away from the story, which shines light on a little known, yet fascinating disease.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this combo for RPO and this time was no different. The synapses of Armada may seem like it is the same book as RPO, but I assure you it is not. Totally worth it, I actually went and purchased the books after listening to them so I could have physical copies for my bookshelf.
