When it comes to the gun control debate, there are two kinds of data: data that's accurate and data that left-wing billionaires, politicians, and media want you to believe is accurate. In The War on Guns, economist and gun rights advocate John Lott turns a skeptical eye to well-funded antigun studies and stories that perpetuate false statistics to frighten Americans into giving up their guns.

The Denver Post hails Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire mystery series as a must-read. Joining the four previous novels - all of which have been Book Sense picks - The Dark Horse puts a unique Wyoming twist on the classic British village mystery. When Longmire meets a woman jailed for her husband's death, he travels outside his usual haunts to discover the truth behind this unusual murder case.

If you could sum up The Dark Horse in three words, what would they be?

Breathtaking & gripping drama

Who was your favorite character and why?

Clearly Sheriff Longmire

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where and when Sheriff Longmire counsels the accused killer, the wife, that "...I cant help you unless you tell me what happened..." . That scene repeated more than once. It shows Longmire's intuition for something amiss in her "confession" and with the "facts" of the case

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could have listened to it in one sitting. But I also like breaking the narrative up into several sections. That afforded me the luxury of "playing" the scenes over in my mind. George Guildall is my favorite reader and actor. He was gifted with a mellifluous voice that he has honed to perfection. He is a true student and professional of his craft.

Any additional comments?

As I write this I look forward to Netflix production of this season's series. But they cant match the richness and length and nuances of the Audible versions.

The Obama administration’s overreaching and pervasive secularist policies represent the greatest government-directed assault on religious freedom in American history. So argues conservative movement leader Phyllis Schlafly and journalist George Neumayr. In No Higher Power, Schlafly and Neumayr show how Obama is waging war on our religious liberties and actively working to create one nation under him rather than one nation under God.

I listened-twice- to Ms Schlafly's book after seeing her on CPAN Weekend Book edition. I find her and her co-author's facts and footnotes to be accurate. Her finding on Obama's position on abortion and anti Pro Life to be compelling. I was slack jawed when I listened to that chapter.
I agree with her summary and position as it is inescapable after her citations of the facts. Obama is anti-Christian in many of his positions. I am wondering what positions he takes on any principle that could be construed as Christian or sympathetic to the Catholic Church's positions.
I also wonder how an Evangelical or Catholic could defend voting for Obama given the facts Ms Schlafly illustrated?
The reader did a very good job. I recommend this book. Also after listening to "No Higher Power" I went back to listen to David Limbaugh's Audible "Persecution" which is an analysis of the anti Christian anti-Catholic positions in government before Obama was elected.

Ms Handley and CC have put together one of the better books on social media tips I have seen. I have listened to their book three times now. I have employed –along with our company- many of their “social media stew” recipe tips on facebook and website content suggestions successfully. One of the best compliments I could give them and this book is that I have used facebook successfully the first time in a business sense.
We use a medical protocol that many persons found helpful by reading and exercising the applications direct from facebook that we would not have believed if we had not seen the results-in a week’s time! Their clear cut and direct suggestions are easy to understand and use. Even if you have struggled in the past with your product, service, or just ‘talking’ with your friends on facebook, LinkedIn or any of the other ways they mention in their ‘bible’ for social channels, you cannot help but improve with just 2 or 3 of their helpful hints.
We will soon employ their advice and recommendations on our first “YouTube” video and anticipate nothing but success!
