Story
From breakout stand-up comedian Iliza Shlesinger comes a subversively funny collection of essays and observations on a confident woman's approach to friendship, singlehood, and relationships. "Girl Logic" is Iliza's term for the way women obsess over details and situations that men don't necessarily even notice. She describes it as a characteristically female way of thinking that appears to be contradictory and circuitous but is actually a complicated and highly evolved way of looking at the world.

Great Book for Anybody!

I have been impressed with Iliza since I saw her on Netflix last year. Since then, I've seen more if her work and have really grown to appreciate her via her Instagram feed. I love standup, and I've become a fan so I picked up the audio book. Girl Logic is not just for girls. It's actually among the best memoirs I've read (not written by a former world leader). Get it, absorb it and enjoy it. Iliza really is a great talent and comes off as a genuine person.

Story
In November 2014, 13 members of the Biden family gathered on Nantucket for Thanksgiving, a tradition they had been celebrating for the past 40 years; it was the one constant in what had become a hectic, scrutinized, and overscheduled life. The Thanksgiving holiday was a much-needed respite, a time to connect, a time to reflect on what the year had brought, and what the future might hold. But this year felt different from all those that had come before.

I'm a Libertarian who thinks that half of this guy says is a crock. Politically. This book is do amazingly good, please just read/listen. There are moments he makes a case for the Obama/Biden doctrine, but not EVER enough to cause one to read this to the end. I'm not a Democrat and I love Beau.

Story
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the landscape of television began an unprecedented transformation. While the networks continued to chase the lowest common denominator, a wave of new shows, first on premium-cable channels like HBO and then basic-cable networks like FX and AMC, dramatically stretched television’s narrative inventiveness, emotional resonance, and artistic ambition. No longer necessarily concerned with creating always-likable characters, plots that wrapped up neatly every episode, or subjects that were deemed safe and appropriate, shows such as The Wire, The Sopranos, Mad Men, and more tackled issues of life and death, love and sexuality....

Good, but not his best

Although they did a great job illustrating the brutality of the war, I didn't learn much more than I knew prior to this book. Their other books are near masterpieces, so my criticism is in part because I'm holding this book to the same standard.

I don't really listen the Christian music, but was pulled in to his orbit when the Anomaly album came out. Whether you're spiritual, into popular music, or whatever you'll find Lacrae is the real deal and he has a powerful story that is well told.
