What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The story line was okay, but the plot was not well developed and the characters not very believable.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I started to wonder if there was any punctuation in this book, or whether the narrator was simply ignoring the periods and commas.

What disappointed you about The Best Horror of the Year, Volume 4?

A couple were okay (King & Straub) but the rest were not very interesting much less scary. I agree with one of the other reviewers that the stories fell flat.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I couldn't make it through this one. I love zombie books, but I suspect the author did little research into how the military would communicate with each other and handle a crisis. I agree with other reviewers that the characters sounded very stereotyped. A cigar chomping General Sherman? Seriously? And the habit of the reader reading every line of an email address was insufferable. Look elsewhere for a well developed book.
