I have just purchased this audio because I absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan's books; however I am seriously thinking of asking for a refund of my credit due to this narrator (Gregory Salinas). His voice is monotone and very boring. This is a 3-story audio but I do not think I can listen to this man much longer. Again, the story is GREAT!!!; because I bought the first book and read it which is why I purchased the audio, but please Ms. Ryan, find someone else to narrate your books.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old.” Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true. The name embossed on the blue stationery: Reed Eastwood, obviously the most romantic man who ever lived. I also discovered he’s the most gorgeous. If only my true-love fantasies had stopped there.

I actually passed this book over for several weeks. The name threw me off, but for some reason I kept coming back to it so I decided to try it out. I am so glad I did; I fell in love with characters immediately. The authors writing was so good, made me feel like I could connect with the subjects. If there is anyone out there thinking about reading or listening to this story all I can say is you will not be disappointed.

It's not every day that a beautiful, naked woman falls out of the sky and lands face-first on grizzly shifter Berg Dunn's hotel balcony. Definitely, they don't usually hop up and demand his best gun. Berg gives the lady a grizzly-sized t-shirt and his cell phone, too, just on style points. And then she's gone, taking his XXXL heart with her. By the time he figures out she's a honey-badger shifter, it's too late. Honey badgers are survivors. Brutal, vicious, ill-tempered survivors.

If you could sum up Private in three words, what would they be?

Suspenseful/Mysterious/Interesting

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jack, of course

What didn’t you like about Peter Hermann’s performance?

Voice/speaking was monotone, and when narrating other characters I could not detect a difference. Especially the female parts. I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks and a lot of male narrators have a decent change when speaking a female part; but Peter Hermann needs to work on this.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really; most of my audiobooks are for when I am traveling for work. Which is weekly, so I like that i can listen a little every other day.

Any additional comments?

I have never listened to or read any books by James Patterson. But after listening to Private I may start. The story line held my interest even with the not so preferred narration.

Most times I tend to judge a book by the cover which is what I did with this book. Even though I overlooked it several times something kept bringing me back. So I bought it and boy am I glad I did. I absolutely LOVED this story. The main characters, Jax & Lynn were HOT together. The story was also amazing and I wanted to just listen in one sitting but I had to sleep😴 sometime. I can't wait to get the second book to see what happens. I will not tell anything about the story ; you will just have to get it. You will not be disappointed😁🙌🙌

I have read/listened to all 10 League books and have enjoyed each one immensely. Born of Legend by far is my favorite; it is a fall from grace, return to the fold kind of story. I actually hated Julian in the previous stories but after listening to his story I actually hated the others for their treatment of him. If you are on the fence about buying this audio book, I guarantee it will be the best buy for your reading pleasure. Take a chance📖

Dennis Mira just had two unpleasant surprises. First he learned that his cousin Edward was secretly meeting with a real estate agent about their late grandfather's magnificent West Village brownstone, despite the promise they both made to keep it in the family. Then, when he went to the house to confront Edward about it, he got a blunt object to the back of the head.

Brilliant as always,
A co-worker recommended JD Robb's,In Death series to me several years ago and I have never looked back. These stories are so engaging and make you feel each and every emotion of the particular story that is being told. Susan Ericksen is the best narrator I have had the honor of listening to. Eve & Roarke are amazing; I lose myself in their relationship and their love and support of each other. Now I recommend this author and this series to everyone who are as avid a reader as I am. I can hardly wait for #43.
