I was a little disappointed with this series. The first book skipped the ending. There was audio trouble with books 3, 5 & 6. When there was a chapter switch the narrator's voice changed. The characters were good, but the speed that Nora spoke and the anger that was presented between the sheriff, Nora, & Harvey at times was a little unbelievable. I stuck with it, but would rethink listening to the books. I think probably just reading them would have been better.

Would you consider the audio edition of Royal Blood to be better than the print version?

I think the voices make the story!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lady Georgiana is a great character! I love the romances twists with her Mr. Omara.

Which character – as performed by Katherine Kellgren – was your favorite?

She has captured all the characters in unique ways. The voice of the newest character, Queenie, adds a lot to the fun of the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed throughout the book.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a clean, but wonderfully fun, historical fiction novel.

The Queen of England has concocted a plan in which penniless aristocrat Lady Georgie is to entertain a Bavarian princess and conveniently place her in the playboy prince's path, in the hopes that he might finally marry.

But queens never take money into account. Georgie has very little, which is why she moonlights as a maid-in-disguise.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Royal Pain to be better than the print version?

Absolutely. The narrator really brings all the characters to life. There are so many and yet she does an excellent job keeping everyone separate.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lady Georgiana is definitely my favorite character.

What about Katherine Kellgren’s performance did you like?

Fantastic performance in changing between characters and keeping the transitions very smooth.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The book is really gripping and keeps you entranced until the very end.

Any additional comments?

I recommend this to everyone! I look forward to hearing the rest of the books in the series.

What would have made Through the Grinder better?

I did not like how the book started. For a Cozy Mystery, it was very dark and ominous.

Would you ever listen to anything by Cleo Coyle again?

Probably not. I think it was not marketed to the right audience.

What aspect of Rebecca Gibel’s performance would you have changed?

I think the performance was fine, it was just the material.

Any additional comments?

Please reassess the market for this book. Needs to be pulled from the Cozy selection.

Excellent book. I listened to book one and book 2 flowed right into the continued story. It kept me guessing until the very end. The narrator did an awesome job keeping all the characters voices separate. I highly recommend this if you enjoy a good mystery.
