Portia Barrington, the precocious 15-year-old daughter of defense attorney Myles Barrington, has been kidnapped. Portia's bodyguard, who doubled as her chauffeur, is missing. Myles paid twice, but the kidnappers demand a third ransom. Why would kidnappers ask for three ransoms, knowing that each time they collect, they risk being captured by the police, Phoenix Perry wonders, when she's asked to investigate. Is the kidnapping a hoax? Did Myles Barrington do something so hideous to his daughter that he has to fake a kidnapping to cover it up?

Very well developed plot, story takes turns till end. Porsche is a wealthy, smart and mentalist woman in her early age and as naive as any high school girl would be. She manipulates everyone that comes in her life.
I believe this is my first book where a black woman is leading lady not happed so often. Her strength, family values, discipline are amazing.

Jonnie Jacobs is in transiting better to best now, I like “Murder Among us” and Jacobs other books “Motion to Dismiss” and “The only suspect” too. Story begins when good hearted Kate stops to help as girl in rainy night …and kidnapped ..murder all makes story a well-blended garam masala mystery. I found book suspenseful and very hard to put down. Story travels seamlessly past to present, back to forth not only with main character Kate also her fiancé Michael. Big thumbs up for narrator Suzan Lynn Lorraine.

It has 2 story going in same time one of the young girl Jessica and other one CSI lab agent Kafoed. Who would manufacture evidence and jeopardize cases to stay in limelight. I truly hope Edwards and whoever helped him grow conscience and truth come out.
I also enjoyed Kevin pierce deep voice and John Ferak writing.

If you are Fan of crime investigation like [NY CSI TV show], you will like this book except they are real cases. Kevin Pierce did good job recording this book.
In the book Jackson focuses on 3 cases more and Necro search’s contribution to bring closure to old cold cases. These are old cases that have been shelved because victim body not found therefore no evidence that a murder taken place. Jackson writes the stories with passion and empathy makes it thriller very enjoyable true crime book. The details of each case gripped my attention to the point I was not able to put sown the book. I was listing it every chance, I missed my stop was late for work.
