MUST READ THE FIRST THREE BOOKS FIRST! This book covers the first 3 books from Nikolas POV. Sometimes I often play them together just to get the full picture. Zachary Webber did an amazing job bringing the story to life, what I really don't like is the author pulled elements from Twilight and fifty shades to make up the hero and heroin. Sarah is a 17-year-old with an (old soul) she is not a girlie girl and doesn't like to dress like one and hates to shop; plus, she likes classic books Jane Austin and Nikolas has mood swings and is super over protective. Some of the words are pulled from fifty shades. Sarah is always doing her own thing and getting into trouble. But overall the book is enjoyable with a different take on vampires I will give originality points for that and for what Sarah is. I hope she continues the series I would love to see Sarah grow into her full power and truly become the warrior she is meant to be.

Weddings have the strangest effect on people. How else to explain the fact that Sissy woke up in Mitch's bed the morning after her brother Bobby Ray tied the knot? Or that gunmen are trying to kill Mitch. Sissy Mae now has to escort a bleeding, stubborn, yet still incredibly sexy lion shifter to her Tennessee Pack's turf to keep him safe? It doesn't help that Mitch's appraising gaze makes her feel like the most desirable creature on earth, or that the ultimate stray cat is suddenly acting all kinds of possessive.

This story is different from the first two books, I like the fact she strayed from the relentless pursuing of the female who refuse to be married or act like they didn't want to the male when they actual do. It's more of a friendship between Sissy-Mae (wolf) and Mitchell (lion) who are slowly discovering they really like each other.Throughout the story, there are sexual overtures back and forth between Mitch and Sissy. But, there is almost no SEX just a really good story between two people. I really enjoy Shelly Laurenston stories.

Let me say, although the subject matter surrounding this story is not my cup of tea, given the fact we hear tad bits of Ture and Maris story in other books I was intrigued. Well, she did not disappoint, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Holter Graham did an AMAZING job! The story is so tastefully and beautifully written all one can see is two people daring to take a chance on love, for Maris, it is letting go of Darling while overcoming mistrust issues and for Ture, he already knows Maris is the man for him. Ture shows extreme patience and understanding of Maris concerns and worries and his feelings for Darling. He gives Maris the space he needs to work through his feelings, in the end, it pays off. I have listened to this book about ten times or more, I absolutely love the story and the way Holter Graham brings these characters to life. One more thing, the model on the cover helped a lot because that man is FINE and SEXY! I'll take Maris any day any time!

Tessa Dawn's writings are very dark but I find I like them a lot, they are not your normal romance novels, I think that's what I like about them. As with most of her series, this follows suit, the beast has some much time after finding his destined mate to convince her to bind with him (not just him this time) they both die! The heroin in the story is quite whiney with good reason, you understand her dilemma she almost chooses death over the alternative lifestyle. Good book and Eric G Dove absolutely love him!

I've shied away from CF books for a very long time and with good reason, she has a tendency to repeat a phrase over and over again!. However, I did like the story the first part of the book lays the groundwork for the second half. Heroin Francesca basically gets bullied into dating Stefano Ferraro but it turns out for her own good. He saves her many times, once she was about to be robbed, again she came close to being raped, ganged up in the women's bathroom (sister of Stefano) saves her because she is under the family's protection. Lastly kidnapped and almost killed by a deranged narcissistic sociopath. I did say Fifty Shades, he tries to court her slowly giving her time to get used to his bullying ways, once that is out of the way, it's on! He likes sex and bondage. The ending is the BEST made the whole book worthwhile, All and all not bad and Jim Frangione is the BEST you can never go wrong with him reading. I will watch for book two because I fell in love with the Ferraro Family.

I love the series it has the same feel as the first recruits training, I love the fact that she intertwines the BDB into the storyline so you get to hear what is going on with them. Mary and Rhage is one of my favorite couples. In this story, you get to see Rhage's sensitivity. The new Hero and Heroine Axel is lovable has the same self-hatred as Zhadist and has a little sex fetish as Vishous but not to the extreme and Alise reminds you of Marisha. All and all it is a good story and can't wait for The Chosen and the next book.

After reading all the reviews and a fan of the series, I was a little disappointed in the back story of Marcus who was supposed to be in love with Beth. The story did not spend time developing that part of the story but focused more on Sir Robert and Beth. Plus,I kept wondering why Beth was pulled back in time, however, you don't learn that until the end of the book. But there is a little surprise at the end. All in all, it was a pretty decent book.

My first book from this author, she is wordy! The book could have been cut down by six hours if she did not keep repeating the same scenario in different ways. The heroine 37 years of age is whiney and scared to speak her mind. The sex gets old because there is so much of it! In between all of that you have a mystery which I solved in the first 2 hours but unfolds in a way you will not expect. I will go on to book three because I want to know about the prophecy and backtrack maybe to book one.

This is my first Tessa Dawn book ever and I thought it would be my last! The stories I like to read and listen too are not this dark. I choose this book based on the great reviews, unaware of hearts would be ripped out and a body mangled beyond recognition was just too much for me!. It's not until later on in the story that the light humor comes into play and makes the story more related able. Based on book two I decided to research the author to see where such dark psychotic thoughts come from in her story telling.

I learned she holds a psychology degree and worked in the criminal justice system and the mentally ill. I said that explains it! she does psychotic behavior to the cross T and dotted i what I probably really don't like is the rape in book two, but if you are dealing with soulless creatures with psychosis behavior rape is the least of it.

The story is dealing with an ancient blood curse from dead women who have been sacrificed to the point of extinction, now they want payback! Although for the dark evil vampires women are still being sacrificed in order to give the first born to the dead ghost. So this is not really teaching the soulless ones a lessons. As a matter of fact it gave them more power to keep carrying on the dark ritual toward women.

The babies popping out through the woman's chest I got a little bit of my aliens in order to deal with these stories, I view the dark evil vampires as aliens who plant the seed into the women and in 48 hours the babies (twins) hatch from the woman's chest when the father calls them forth. SICK!!!!!
