One small mistake in the past will change everything about her future...Archaeologist Sarah Baxter just broke one of the biggest rules of time travel: leaving a piece of 21st-century equipment in 19th century Regency England. Unfortunately, when she goes back to retrieve it, she makes an even bigger mess of things - resulting in the death of an English Earl. Now his brother is not only out for revenge, but he also has Sarah's device. Which means an entirely different approach is needed.

I loved this story with its clever time travel theme written into a love story - one could say that in this instance true love really does transcend the test of time.
Sarah and the Earl of Earnston briefly meet under undesirable circumstances and later meet again and so the story continues until it reaches a most desirable ending.
Not only did I enjoy the story itself, (laughing or crying at times) but I was captivated and entertained by the very talented Lillian Yves and her many entertaining voices in the audiobook version.
Brilliant work from two amazing artistes and I happily recommend both the book and the audiobook versions.

Luke, the marquis of Dewsbury, is a complete rogue. Bested by none and adored by many, he finds himself sent away from town by his embarrassed father where he discovers the young and innocent Miss Adena Garland. At only 18 years old, she becomes his unlikely companion as they become trapped on an island after high tide. The night is long and likely to be cold - but the heat rising between Miss Garland and the marquis of Dewsbury could keep both of them warm.

Adena is a fiery red head with a temper to match who is not afraid to go after what she wants. Luke initially thinks he can put one over with her and is very surprised when she takes control of their so-called marooned situation. He also tends to think of how he would like to act with her but tends not to do so resulting in many a lost opportunity.
This is an intense love story where emotion and passion flow freely and quickly.
The two fall in love and there were very unexpected twists in this story just when I didn't expect them and this made it all the more interesting.
I loved the characters, the way their minds worked and how they related to each other, making this a very enjoyable and interesting read and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have.
I originally read an Advance Reader Copy of this ebook and have now listened to this entertaining audiobook narrated by Julia Eve which I also loved - my review above is voluntary and unbiased.

Zany families, eccentric friends, and ne'er-do-well neighbors inhabit the labyrinthine lives of three women friends as they grapple with real-world events in one "Golden Year". An unwelcome visit from local law enforcement, a younger friend's romantic chaos, and the death of a parent combine with daily mundanities - laundry, scones, and senior sex - to create a walloping, raucous listen.

Take some 50-something adventurous ladies who decide to make a stand in order to save a building from demolition .... And then we also have their canines' viewpoints and dialogues telling us what actually happened and you have a story which is worth a million bucks! It is so funny!
And this is just how the story begins...
Sharon Phennah must have the most amazing sense of humor. The way she tells this story is unique and really worth either reading or listening to.
We also have a lively narration by Sandra Murphy which helps lift this book even further into the 'keeping of one's interest glued to it' realm.
I loved it and am sure you will too, so of course you can take this as my firm recommendation!

Miss Angeline Marsden has a defiant nature and makes no apologies for it. After she finds herself in trouble she can't extricate herself from, she has no choice but to turn to the one man she's always loved and who treats her like a sister. Much to the dismay of Lucian St. John, the marquess of Severn, he's always been drawn to Angeline. She's his one irresistible temptation; however, she's also his best friend's sister and off-limits. When she finds herself in a mess of her own making, he comes to her rescue and offers to marry her.

I am very sure that if knew the young Angeline, who was crazily in love with her friend's brother, Lucien, (and this for more years than she could remember, but she didn't know how he felt), then you would find her behaving in just the same way that she does in this story. Rebelliously!
Lucien, though he is becoming aware he is seeing her differently of late, won't admit to her nor to himself that he is in fact in love with her. The man even marries her to save her from herself - or so he tries to tell himself!
The not-knowing is driving them both crazy and Dawn Brower has written many interesting and very funny scenes into her story which make this book a pleasure to read.
On top of that Verona Westbrook has narrated the story using some very interesting voices and this made it a pleasure to listen to.
I am happy to recommend this book or audio book to you so that your spirits can also be lifted.

They raised her like one of their own, alongside their daughter, Laura. Dawn soon finds herself falling for Jake, who recently moved to Silverpines, following his brother from Texas. Jake gets to know Dawn well and soon realizes he has fallen in love with her. The catch? Though society had come a long way, it still held prejudices against Native Americans and the whites who married them.

Dawn and Jake are two special people who were meant to meet, meant to fall in love and meant to live happily ever after.
This story is a perfect example of how trust and belief can change things for the better.
It also shows that when you have a brilliantly talented pair of artistes working together, as we have in Barbara Goss and Persephone Rose, then one gets a beautiful, interesting and very entertaining story.
I loved this story from beginning to the end, as well as the characters who seem to fumble their way through life (like so many of us do - even if we can't admit to it), the selfishness of some of the characters and the friendship and love shown by others.
All in all this audiobook was a delight to listen to and I happily recommend it.

What is clearly shown is that it is human to err and that we are not at all perfect, but, having messed up, if one takes responsibility for our deeds or lack of them, then life and love can adjust for the betterment of all concerned.
This is what both Laura and Max had to find out and they quickly learned from their mistakes. I loved their faith, honesty and beliefs.
Also, you can't help but love Laura's 4-year o,d daughter. She is just sooo very cute.
Altogether, a beautiful, clean western romance with a happily every after and tI am happy to recommend it.

I love the different strengths of character of both main characters and also the gentle and almost innocent portrayal of Alexander which is quite novel. Teresa is more forceful and more confident and both of them are quite likable.
