Having gone to a private Christian school, we didn’t read most of the books that most people read in public schools. So now that I’m addicted to my Audible account, I’m going back and listening to them. Selma Blair does an incredible job narrating this fantastic book. My heart goes out to all those who had to live under such conditions. I just hope the world isn’t going back into similar situations under the new authoritarian idiot we have leading the US now.

Al Franken, Giant of the Senate is a book about an unlikely campaign that had an even more improbable ending: the closest outcome in history and an unprecedented eight-month recount saga, which is pretty funny in retrospect. It's a book about what happens when the nation's foremost progressive satirist gets a chance to serve in the United States Senate and, defying the low expectations of the pundit class, actually turns out to be good at it.

Just a fantastically written and narrated book. The fact that Senator Frankenstein can finally be the time to talk about the good and the bad in Congress and make BOTH entertaining to hear about was something I really needed I. These trying times under 45's reign of terror. Thank you Senator Franken. I don't live in your state, but I *WILL* be supporting your next campaign as much if not more than I will support those here in Illinois. The truth you share here is needed information for all. My best to you and your staff. Now if better sign off before Fran starts tapping her ear.

The marketing for the book said it was a mix of I Am Legend, The Martian, and Gravity and I worried it was being a bit overhyped. But it wasn't! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait for the sequel to be released!

Audie Award, Audiobook of the Year, 2016. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. "Jess and Jason," she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost. And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good? Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut.

At the start of the book I didn't know if I'd be able to listen to it all because the characters were SO depressing! But wow, I'm so glad I continued! Definitely give this one a chance. Fantastic book! I'm off to see if the author has anything else available right now!
