Huge disappointment, but...
I loved this series, and I am not sure how you can properly tell the ending when it is so gloriously unimaginable, but this wasn't it. I agree with all of the reviews that the series should have had one book for each year or I don't know...less of something. I expected so much of this book and I could have read the Bible and got the same thing. There wasn't a lot of action and SO MUCH preaching. It is as if the authors realized this could be their last chance to reach some people so they really poured it on or something. I actually have about 3 hours left and I am just struggling to not go on to something else..I know how it ultimately ends. :) I'll persevere, but so far I wish it had been different. As for the narrator, I forget about him really at times, but when the "preaching starts" oh my. It goes ON and ON and ON. The first diatribe near the beginning finally caused me to fast forward! If you started the series, you have to finish it, but it comes with its own type of suffering. I hate abridged books but this time it is the better route.
