Bakery owner Willow Dalton's friendship with Zane Walker has always been a bit complicated. Now a scrumptiously hot A-list actor, Zane's always had a reputation as a player. He's arrogant, and he's definitely not boyfriend material. Sure, he did Willow a favor by agreeing to take her virginity before college, but is that reason enough for her to go along with a fake engagement a decade later - even if it comes with a real diamond ring?

Zane and Willow's relationship seemed like a distant friendship for the last several years until Zane returns to town asking her to be his fake fiancé to help redeem his reputation. Even though Willow thinks Zane is a playboy, she decides to take one for the team since she's harbored feelings for him her entire childhood anyway. Now, we get to find out how Zane really feels about Willow as well. Will this movie star and town bakery owner make a real go of it or keep this casual? You'll have to listen to find out! Great narrator as well. I enjoyed this story and the audiobook narration.

Kat Martin knows what she wants in a man - someone stable and adoring, definitely not the type of guy who sleeps around. After all, Kat rarely does the wrong thing - until she meets seductively enticing Eric James, and suddenly wrong has never felt so right. When it comes to his career, race-car driver Eric James is intense, obsessive, and passionate, but when it comes to sex, there's only one kind - daring, unbridled, and no-strings-attached.

A quick little romance following another Braden story. I think this took some secondary characters and friends of the original novels couple and pulled them together into a romance of their own. A quick hook-up in the airport bathroom, turns into more when the couple find out they're going to the same place. But that is not where the similarities end. It's a quick, down and dirty kind of read. The narrator does a good job, even though I didn't get into the male characters voice as well. Natalie Ross is on my list of fav female narrators.

They’re not quite enemies, and not really friends. More like frustrated balls of sexual tension, Lance Gibson drives Mariah Malarkey absolutely crazy. He uses her office like a phone booth, and takes cupcakes from the corner of her desk like she baked them just for him. She didn’t. Maybe she knew the history teacher happened to love peanut butter icing, but that was purely a coincidence. Mariah has a way of getting under Lance’s skin, too. She calls him out on his crap, spoils him even if inadvertently, and, seeing the librarian in skirts, drives him wild. She won’t give in.

I enjoyed the push and pull of this couple. Mariah had a down on your luck attitude toward men and a terrible family relationship. Her fiancé left her under questionable and shocking circumstance's. Her mother was over bearing and critical, favoring her older sister in all things. And her older sister was not a nice person to her from an early age. So Mariah boxed herself off from that negativity to try to live a more positive life away from the heartache, but with many reservations. Lance had the best things going for him, at least it seemed so in the beginning. He could have just about any woman he wanted and, at face-value, took advantage of the opportunities when they presented themselves. But you actually find out there is more to Lance than first expected. He is a little insecure himself, but in opposition, he has a very big ego. Mariah and Lance have an attraction that they both are afraid to act on so it takes some time and a cute little dating app to bring them together with fireworks exploding! A nice romance that highlights the act of trusting someone when it's hard and opening yourself up to love even if you're afraid. The narrators where ok for the story.

This story covered Ally's sister Amanda with one of the Wild Families friend Mick. The concept of the story followed Amanda trying to become more confident with herself and her sexuality and take chances on people since she always chose men that were not exciting or willing to put much effort towards Amanda. She had a rule book she was checking out constantly throughout the story, which did have some funny rules. But then a chance encounter at a masquerade bar party brings her face to face with the man she's been fantasizing about for the last 3 years, her boss Mick! Then new rules ensue as Mick offers to teach Amanda the acts of how to pick up a man. They both have different ideas on a relationship and have to meet each other half way to make things work between them. A trip away brings us back to the little town all the Wild Boys visit with their friends there. I had mixed feelings on the narrator. Sometimes I felt the narration was a little too whimsical sounding, instead of bad and alpha like most of this series is trying to convey for After Dark. The narration was good, just didn't have the tone I was thinking it should at times. The overall audio between story & narrations hit my list at around 3.5.

This story was so awesome! I think between the narration and the story it was absolutely magnificent! It brought all of happy feels with it, along with the clenching thighs because Sebastian York's voice along with this dirty talking hero was everything a woman could want. A cartoon artist and his best friends sister, who just happens to be a magician make all of the magic happen within this story. The angst leading up to the coupledom was spot on. And a dirty talking man who studied women and knows what to do and makes sure to get it right is a dream come true for any woman. Harper and Nick are a quirky couple but they have it all. Too bad we don't have more men that study in Nick's language! If you're an audio fan - DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!!!

Another good quick addition to the Wild Boys After Dark series and the Wild Boys family. Cooper was the most family conscience of all of the brothers. He knew what he wanted and went after it, well, after 4 years anyway. There were not games in this story, just straight romance with the side of heat we've always to enjoy with this series. The narrator was good and kept the story interesting and alive.

I haven't listened to the first two installments in this series. This may contribute to my overall mis-understanding of some of the things going on in this book. I was lost a lot of the time and trying to follow along on who the families were that were involved in this mafia style story. It also seemed really long to me, not that it is, but just that I wanted to get to the end and I hate to say that. I always listen until the end because I feel like I need to give it a chance to be sure it won't grow on me, but this story just didn't make it for me. The narrators were good in that they did work well together, being a duet style reading, and pulled off different personas for each voice, but they sometimes seemed too much, or too odd sounding for each of the characters. This is a gay or bi-sexual romance and a triad Again, I have no problem with that and this all could be because I didn't listen to the first two installments. I wish I had liked it more.

The authors forward expresses the erotic nature of this series and it was point on with this installment. This was actually a very quick, hot & sexy read. I would say this was the hottest story of this series so far. Laney and Jackson were very sexy together. This couple had been friends with benefits since high school. It's hard to believe they would be able to function in any capacity with no commitments to one another, and having flings with others all the time, but a proposal brought everything back to where it should have been. No inhibitions in this couple, for sure. The ending was a bit abrupt to me, but that's probably because we'll hear more about them in upcoming books. The narrator was great again and I loved hearing his voice throughout the story. Perfect for Jackson's character. So, another win for this author.

This was one of those books that starts off hot and ends hot. Heath and Ally were spot on. Both wanted the excitement of something new, quick and down-right good. One-night-stands were definitely in their vocabulary and both were just fine with it. But this one-night-stand turned into much more when their rule of not knowing anything about each other brought them closer than they ever thought. Ally was a very reluctant heroine. Heath never wanted another relationship after his long-time relationship in college failed and his hours as a doctor didn't give him much time for one. But then something about Ally made him want to try. It's always nice to see when a hero has to drag the heroine out of the shadows instead of the other way around. I was glad to see where things went with this couple. The narrator was spot on again. Love the deep voice and it fit the hero just right.

I read these books out of order (1, 3 then this one-2), but it didn't really matter because they could totally be stand alones. This one is about Sadie's brother Andrew and Amelia. Mistaken as a plumber that has come to fix the toilet at Amelia's business where Sadie works, Andrew meets and falls for the owner. Both are relationship shy and fighting their own attachment issues. But persistence from Andrew has one-night-stand written all over it.... until it's not. Andrew has raised his daughter Belle since his girlfriend left him high and dry when Belle was 3. Now he's very protective of his daughter and himself. Andrew and Amelia are a prime example of opposites attract, but also of totally and complete honesty. Their honesty is what get's them through some really rough times and situations and that's how all relationships should be. Of course Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are phenomenal and spot on with their voice talents and take this already great story to the next level. Another great story from Jessica Hawkins and great narration from Andi and Sebastian!
