Sadly, the lovely Sophie McShea's (DOWNTON ABBEY), narration was not my cup of tea. I couldn't even get through the first quarter of the book. I'll have to read the paperback.

Ok mystery story, but the narrator was flat & stilted. Decent twists and turns. I muddled through it.

I'm currently binge reading / listening this series. I've come to know these amazing characters and am in love with "Oy"!
While George Guidall does a good job, I miss Frank Muller's narration. His narration and wide vocal range gave life to Roland, Eddie, Susannah, Jack, and Oy. I related my picture of the Gunslinger / Dark Tower worlds through the art of Mr. Muller's narration.
I know it's been years since Muller's passing, but God rest his soul!
Huge KUDOS to George Guidall (narrated 1st book) for taking over and doing justice for the characters and pulling me into the world of Roland!
Stephen King's mind is an amazingly scary thing. I'd like to have coffee with him and pick his brain. Enjoy this great return (after a decade) of the last gunslinger.

Reminiscent of BEACHES, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, TERMS OF ENDEARMENT; but having its own unique themes and rhythms. FIREFLY LANE is lovely journey through 2 young girls budding friendship, the decades along the path of that friendship, and the way lives can take you on very different paths. Enjoyed the narration, too.

This fantastically twisted book kept me on the edge of my seat! What would happen next? Where do all the puzzle pieces fit? The narration was perfectly produced...plus, I love Julia Whelan! Now I'm ready for another twisty, creepy, suspenseful book from these imaginative authors.

My sister got this book because I live in Alaska. She read it and couldn't stop raving about this deliciously beautiful, horrific, stunning, and poignant story. So, while visiting my hometown of Washington, DC, I bought it and fell in love with Lenny, Cora, Mathew, and the Walkers, and so many more characters that I could see the 1970's version of Alaska clearly. It made me laugh out loud, cry, tense, and pretty much run the the full gammet of emotion. The journey was so engrossing that I miss the characters now that I've completed this profoundly wonderful book. A must read!

In the first 2 books of "The Kingkiller Chronicles," I wondered about Auri; her background, what she was like before she broke, and what her true feelings were for Kvoth? While I got some answers to other questions I had, I still had a few larger secrets yet to be revealed about lovely, sweet, and a little bit broken character, Auri!
Even though my questions didn't get answered, I am absolutely floored by the beautiful poetic book, actually it is a poem, in my eyes. The writing pulls you into Auri's being and I completely empathize with her.
Patrick Rothfuss did a great job narrating his wonderful book!
I look forward to the final book in "The Kingkiller Chronic!" Here's to better luck with the writer's block, Mr. Rothfuss!😊

While I really like Julie Teal as a narrator, I agree with many others that the narrator of the first book was more suited to the young Elizabeth Cage character.
I enjoyed Dark Light but it did leave something to be desired, although I'm not quite sure what exactly it was missing. Jodi Taylor is at the top of my author list and I hope, if there is another book in the series that it captures the essence of the first one.

I trudged through this book. Didn't like the narration and the way the story kept jumping around was confusing. Too many plots within the book. The writing was tedious and if I heard the phrase, "my friend" one more time I was going to scream. It could have been a good book with editing, alas it floundered.
