I've been meaning to write a review about this book and all the others in the series. I was so impressed. It had everything - romance, suspense, mystery......I highly recommend the entire Victorian Rebel series. It's hard to imagine that you'd be disappointed. Kerrigan Byrne has a new fan in me!

Everyone knows NOT to discuss how to raise children. The Men of the North have been living in exile for centuries, raising their boys without the influence of women. Now an experiment will bring girls and boys together in a new school with children and teachers from each side of the border. But how can two teachers work together when they don't agree on anything? Sparks fly in this clash of cultures when Archer Rex objects to Kya Rae's meditation "shit" that will surely turn his boys into wusses. He wants the kids to learn how to hunt and fight instead. Contains mature themes.

I really looked forward to hearing Archer and Kya's story. I really liked these characters in the 1st two books. But the story seemed to drag a bit. I also agree with another reviewer that the spanking of one of the students was somewhat cringeworthy. However, it was not enough to turn me off from the book completely. All in all, I still look forward to reading the next two books, "The Seducer" and "The Warrior." I think that Elin Peer has done a pretty good job and the narrators were very good.

I never thought I could love a monster. Then I met Machi. I shouldn't have been there that night. I shouldn't have seen that man die - or the face of his killer. Every part of me wanted to run and hide, to escape and forget what I saw. But then he caught me. He stole me and pushed me into his world. He wants me to believe that he isn't the bad guy. But I know better. Except...his hard jaw and full lips are hard to ignore, his voice makes my heart flutter, and his hands - his hands are purely toxic, unfurling my body with one touch.

This was an enjoyable listen. Usually I find parts of audiobooks that seem to drag or not hold my attention. This story was well paced and did not slow too much. Liked the characters and liked the way their story was told. The narrators were also good. Always love Aiden Snow - great voice! Hope to purchase more books from this author.

I'm getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.

What made the experience of listening to One Last Time the most enjoyable?

I really appreciated the "real life" aspects of the story. I struggle with stories that are a little too "fluffy." The author really explored the realities and complications of both characters' lives.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's a toss up between Noah and Kristen. Both were complex and had problems in their lives, but dealt with them as best they could. Again, this story was awesome because it really didn't shy away from those kinds of issues.

Which character – as performed by Sebastian York and Andi Arndt – was your favorite?

I think that Kristen would probably be my favorite, but I think that Andi got a little more reading time than Sebastian - to be fair.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No. It was just a good story all the way around.

What did you love best about Follow Me Back?

I didn't find anything that was particularly outstanding about this book. I would give it a "good" not a "great" rating.

Have you listened to any of Joe Arden and Andi Arndt ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Never have an issue with Joe and Andi. They are always great.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No.

Any additional comments?

For some reason this book seemed to drag for me. It was a little too long and not enough going on to completely hold my attention. I found myself fast forwarding a little to finish it up. Yes the story did tug at the heartstrings somewhat, and there were a couple of scenes that were noteworthy and attention-grabbing, but not enough. However, based on previous A.L. Jackson reads, I still think that she is a good writer.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would give the female lead a little more fire. I'm OK with dislikable characters. That's part of life, people are imperfect, sometimes painfully so. However, I agree with other reviewers who felt the male lead was hard to get into. I really had a problem with the female lead who almost never got upset enough to shut all that was happening down and give dude a reality check.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I guess it was OK. Still had some lingering issues with the male lead, which affected my reaction to the conclusion.

What about Amy Landon’s performance did you like?

Better than average, but nothing outstanding.

Was Sarah's Child worth the listening time?

Not sure. As stated, had problems with the characters.

Mac

Any additional comments?

This was a wonderful book. One thing I have been getting tired of lately is a lot of sex scenes in books. I find myself fast forwarding through quite a few of them to get to the actual "story". This book had just enough and they were well placed within the story.

Well written, well narrated, perfect ending. What else do you need?

Where does Sexy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would say that it's definitely in the top 10%. These days I don't find many books great enough to motivate me to write a review. I usually just don't - even if I like the book. But this book was light and fun, but also serious when it needed to be. It just had a great balance.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sexy?

Definitely near the end of the story when Cole's and Fletcher's true motives came to light. I really enjoyed the underlying messages of the story. Everything is not always as it seems at first glance. Also, it's more important to feel good about yourself, rather than focus so much on outward appearances. As Fletch said, there's a huge difference between "feeling sexy" and "looking sexy."

Any additional comments?

Would have liked to see Tiffy give Cole a big smack across the face. But I still give this one a thumbs up. I'm a JA Huss fan. Having said that, I haven't always liked all of her books, but this one is a keeper.
