I have enjoyed many of Trudi Canavan’s book trilogies. But I will say that this trilogy was not very enjoyable. The first book was all over the place from one story to another. Two different main characters in two different story lines. :( Not entraining!

Should have stock to the same principle of magic as you did in the “Black Magician Trilogy.

I would not recommend this book series.

Would you try another book from Terry Brooks and/or Scott Brick?

I purchased the Shannara Series. Now I wish, I had not. I got to the point I was skipping chapters and felt I had not missed anything of any importance’s in the book. I have never done that in the several hundred audible books I have.
The narrator did a fine job. The story just seem to drag on and on and on.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The story drags on and on, over boring drama. By the 12th chapter, I just wanted the book to end.
