When ancient people first sought to explain the mysteries of their own lives, they looked to the heavens. There, they saw a perfect reflection linking them directly with an omniscient universe. The study of the stars and the study of the psyche comprised a single science - astrology - that led C. G. Jung to describe astrology as "the first form of psychology". Visionary Activist Astrology escorts you through the mists of time to our own century, when science has verified what ancient people knew instinctively.

I absolutely recommend this book and I'm about to read it again to take better notes. I recommend having general knowledge about each sign, planet, and house to follow the information better but it's not needed. This is a great way to figure out the meaning behind your own natal chart and just learn how to appreciate each planetary influence. The humor is amazing and I actually wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I have. I've shown it to a few astrologist friends and they immediately got the book for themselves so definitely give it a shot!

In The Power, the world is a recognizable place: There's a rich Nigerian boy who lounges around the family pool; a foster kid whose religious parents hide their true nature; an ambitious American politician; a tough London girl from a tricky family. But then a vital new force takes root and flourishes, causing their lives to converge with devastating effect. Teenage girls now have immense physical power - they can cause agonizing pain and even death. And, with this small twist of nature, the world drastically resets.

I loved this book! The reader did amazing job with the voices; I had a hard time putting the book down when I had to take breaks. I absolutely recommend this read to anyone but women that have experienced abuse in life will especially get a kick out of the theories this book goes over. I'm not a supporter of organized religion nor am I anything similar to Christian but I was raised catholic and I was very intrigued by how the story of Adam and Eve gets pulled in symbolically. This book was more entertaining than any tv show I could've watched.

I believe everyone needs to read this book. The concepts provided help eliminate the fear learned in life. I personally started with "The Denial of Death" which strongly helped Between life and Death guide me to my new theories and perspectives. The Denial of Death is a psychological analysis of what humans base their decisions from. With Between Life and death you gain a more optimistic view and the mix is just perfect! Though this book has mostly reinforced my own beliefs, I did gain more information!
