Cherise Sinclair is one of the few authors whose BDSM I can get into, and this book is one of the reasons why she makes it work -- well-rounded, relatable characters. Some of this stuff is hot, and some of it is really weird, but in both cases it works because I'm into the story itself. Also appreciate taking safe words and limits seriously.

I continue to enjoy this world, but I didn't really like Echo much. Her resistance to learning to use her gifts was very off-puting. Which made this story hard to enjoy as much as others in this series, although I did like 10-year-old Cassie quite a lot.

This was a good conclusion to an overall good series. I know there's a fourth book, but these three were all tightly wound together and this is definitely a stopping point.

I didn't love the relationship between Mercy and Juda, there was too much of them wanting to literally kill one another until too close to the end. Mercy kept swearing she fell in love with him seven years ago when they had a one-night stand that resulted in their daughter, but I'm not sure what "love" means in this context because I sure didn't feel it.

Even, the 6-year-old daughter, was a little scary. Which was definitely the point!

I really enjoyed this book, from the magic to the romance to the suspense. It was unputdownable!

One thing I like about Linda Howard is that she's not afraid to get her heroines pregnant and use that to good effect. But she outdid herself this time, with the spirit of the not-yet-born baby coming to haunt her daddy in the first chapter, letting him know she was coming soon. I won't spoil how it all played out, but in a word: awesome.

I really recommend this book. It's better than the first, which I thought was good and showed promise, but felt abrupt, with the end coming too son. The pacing of this book felt much better, and all the elements just came together.

I highly recommend, and can' wait to read the next one!

I liked this, and thought it set up a good world and decent premise. But the whole thing felt very abrupt, almost truncated at the end. The relationship between these two was sort of not there one second, there the next, and it gave me whiplash! I'm definitely intrigued by this world and interested in reading more. Well, I love Linda Howard so I'm game for just about anything she writes.

Picture this - I’m ready to win back the love of my life, and I’m going big this time. We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops. There’s only one little problem. My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune. The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore.

This is my second book by this author, and once again I felt like she took romance to the next level by including, amidst all the fun banter and sexiest, an honest, real-world applicable theme. In this case: communication.

Tom starts out by going to do the "big gesture" for a college sweetheart he hasn't seen in years. He's convinced he still loves her, and that he's changed, and that the time is now. Except, he gets the wrong duplex and anyway, she's not home.

The woman who is home is a comedy writer whose show is about to get canceled if she doesn't come up with some new content fast -- and a guy singing "unzipped" off-key on her lawn (to the wrong woman) is definitely the muse she needs!

What follows is a comedy of errors, laugh-out-loud funny at times, but with an underlying vulnerability and plausibility that helped this book rise above the average.

Awkward? Maybe. But how else is a good girl going to find out if she likes being naughty? I might be sweet as cherry pie, but I'm also bold and damn curious. And Gabe is charming, trustworthy, aces at seduction (or so I hear) and - bonus! - willing to give me lessons. But to guarantee it won’t ruin our friendship, I have some specific requirements for his instruction. I want these classes to be hypothetical more than hands-on. So what if he’s hella sexy? I can handle that, no problem.

This story was good. A precog from Earth is hunted and has to flee, so she becomes a mail order bride and ends up on a planet full of precogs. But her relationship with her husband is rocky, and it nearly ends in disaster...great tension, both romantic and personal.

But what the heck is up with the title? There's no alpha, or a slave...did someone give it to the wrong book? Or just use a random title generator? Bizarre.

Why would I want to be married to an alien? I should not have applied to TerraMates! The idea was crazy. I'm a young woman, in the prime of my life. But I was desperate. When I landed on another world, his appearance intrigued me. He dripped sexuality and moved like an animal. We have three days together before he sets sail without me. Am I going to escape or submit to my desires?

I'm not going to lie -- it's hard to find halfway decent alien romance. I know -- I've looked! This book wasn't perfect, but it had that underlying spark of potential I've been searching for. The two main characters were both interesting, their motives clear, their plight sympathetic, and their romance compelling. The science part of the scifi was reasonable enough to allow me to suspend disbelief then get the heck out of the way (which is exactly what it needs to do in a scifi romance). If I had to nitpick, I kinda with this was longer, with a bit more will they/won't they? But I've already picked up book two in the series and I'm excited to have found some good alien fantasy.
