I love L A Fiore stories! They are a little more complex than others in the genre but they are worth it. I almost passed on this because it sounded like a beauty/beast story and I have read enough of those. This story is about two people with really tough childhoods who come together beautifully. I loved the story, the characters and the scenes in Scotland!

I think Tracy and Arron are such good narrators and they are fantastic together!!

Rocco was a treat because of all the history and revealing info about the "meanest" but most damaged of all of them! Aiden Snow is soooooo good!! definitely worth a credit.. I hope there's more books in the works!

It wasn't supposed to be like this.... I wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at 28. And I most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot. Now I'm stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he's incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I've had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right? Wrong. Gabriel Evans is rude and crude and drinks way too much, and as soon as his foot is healed I'm out of here. So why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds?

Breaking Hollywood was my first read by Samantha Towle. The story was full of fun banter and chemistry. Brooke Bloomingdale did a great job as female lead but Christian Rummel was the reason I bought this book in the first place.

After reading/listening to Christian in LJ Shen's Sinner of Saint series I am hooked on Christian Rummel! He delivers flawlessly delivers humor and his hot steamy voice makes me want to beg for him to do more romance!

Romance readers will really like this book.

I was expecting the typical romance type plot here but this book was a little different and I loved every minute of it! In fact, just as I was about to drift off to sleep this big.. "event" happened that I was not expecting and I was UP for the rest of the night glued to the book lol. So don't pass on this one!! Lots of suspense, lots of emotion/healing but not overly painful to read and the characters do not spend hours "spinning their wheels" over some drama. The story and characters keep moving forward, this is really what I loved about this story.

Erin Mallon was an excellent female reader. Lance (the male reader) was ok. He seemed to be breathy and speaking in exclamations a lot lol but DON'T let that turn you away from the book. He had a good voice/characters and you get used to his style or at least I did since I really liked the story.

This second book in series is awesome! I liked the first (Lick) very much, but it was more up and down emotion. Mal was my favorite non-main character from first book there was no question about getting Play and omg I LOVE this book! I like stories where the unlikeliest of couples find love and Play is all that and so much laugh out loud humor you can't help but love these two characters. I also like stories with smaller obstacles that don't stretch out heart wrenchingly long. The big low point is emotional but the resolve is so sweet and funny the story leaves you feeling warm and happy.

As any fan of this genre will know, Andi Arndt is an amazing narrator in both male and female roles. I love her voices and characterizations. In fact, I started this series because she was reading it.

I haven't finished this series yet, I just finished Dirty, Dive Bar series book 1, which has a preview in both Lick and Play and was thrilled with it too! It takes place in the same world as Stage Dive so characters are intertwine a bit. I love it when authors do this since you get glimpses of how previous couples are managing. I will finish this series as well as continue with Dive Bar series.

This is a good story with enough interesting characters to start a series. I liked this book, I liked the town, the characters and the story. But I wasn’t as emotionally involved with the main characters as with some other books, so it wasn't overly emotional for me. I think this may have been due to the reason for the abrupt jump into the romance part. But I like the angle of a dying small town very much and how they struggle to survive. I will listen to it again. I am also going to listen to next book since I think the Keaton character has enormous potential.

The reader was excellent. Male and female voices both very good and the characters were distinguishable. The few accents were well done.

As a nerd I have to comment to reader/producer – ASCII is not pronounced A-S-C-two – it’s pronounced ass-key lol.

Known for her generous heart and impulsive personality, she devises a survival plan - possibly her most outrageous idea yet. Grayson Hawthorn is losing hope. This was my first Mia Sheridan book and I loved it. I felt for the characters and the story was not your average girl meets guy story. The story builds to the romance with wit, humor and tension. The character points of view (chapters) switched in the right places to understand the story from each POV as it continued (didn't drown you in repeats/rehash)

When the low point comes, it's painful, which is a sign of how much I liked the characters. BUT the story doesn't wallow in that pain. It's not resolved till closer to end BUT by next chapter the situation is a little bit better or a different angle that makes you (as the reader/listener) feel a little better. For me, if the low point drags on too long.. or the story focuses on that low point for too long, it's hard for me to read again.

The story resolves nicely with a satisfying dose of karma to the "bad guys." The characters overcome their internal struggles and damages from their past.

Maxine Mitchell is a great female narrator that does both male and female voice very well.
She pairs really well with Joe Arden.

About Joe Arden, I LOVE HIM in mostly everything I have heard him read, this book included. I notice some reviewers get annoyed that the lilt of his voice sounds like he is ending sentences with a question. To me, this is one of my favorite characteristics of his voice. Especially when there is humor involved. I find his lilt adds personality to his characters. He is one reader that will sway me on whether to take a chance on a book or not.

I picked this book up on the 4.95 sale but if I had spent a credit on it I would keep it. My criteria is pretty simple in this genre...if I like the characters and story enough to read more than once it's a keeper.

Cake was a HUGE surprise and J. Bengtsson has my mad respect especially since this is her first book! Brilliant dialogue-witty and fun. Good story with enough history and backstory to create rich character depth. I loved it! I have read the entire series and all three stories are woven together brilliantly! I will be re-reading this entire series many times.

I love both Joe Arden and Andi Arndt. They are two of my top readers in this genre.

They switched to a different Male lead in books 2 and 3 - he is very good as well. I will add that book 2 was so funny I literally couldn't stop laughing out loud!! (some people didn't like it because it didn't get hot till toward the end) but OMG I loved it!

The entire series is full of strong witty characters and hysterical banter which, when added to the romance makes for extremely likable characters and a fun ride!

I hope she continues with the series!

So, these characters don't actually "get together" until toward the end but the funny banter and innuendo during the adventure on the "reality show" was BRILLIANT! I listened at night, when I couldn't sleep and nearly woke up the entire house laughing. I had to bury my face into a pillow lol.

The story was fun but is not without the requisite drama/emotional issues. If you read Cake (which was also filled with great banter/dialogue and is a 5 start as well) - mini spoiler: This overlaps Cake in timeline then beyond. The important thing to Kyle was to resolve some issues with Jake regarding the kidnapping. It's emotional and perfect, left me with happy tears for them to get that all out in open.

I LOVED this book and J. Bengtsson is an absolute marvel with intelligent, funny, flirty banter.. Some of the reviews didn't like it because it didn't get to the hot stuff until later but this was not a slow frustrating burn. This was laugh out loud fun leading to the love story.

I haven't read book 3 yet, but so far both book 1 and 2 are 5 stars. The performances were amazing (I think Andi Arndt is my favorite female reader) - This was my first with Zach Webber, he was excellent was well.

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight -- telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend-smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
