I lived in the dark for three years. My whole world revolved around the whims and happiness of three men. It was just a trip into the forbidden. A way out of a bad situation and forward into nothingness. Quin, with his easy smile and charming good looks. He was always there for me...until he wasn't. Smith and his dispassionate attention. He was never there for me and he never regretted it. Bric, the one who listened, but only to himself. Self-absorbed, self-obsessed, and self-serving. He was never the one I wanted. And now he might be the only one I have left.

Wow, I stumbled upon this author and with the first and second in this series I am hooked and want more. I think I have a new favorite author. LOVE this story line. Love the non-traditional love and the twists and turns. All for the plural relationship. You will fall in love with all of the characters. SPOILER: My heart hurts for Bric and I'm over the moon for Quin. This author can really bring you into her world- where you want to get lost and not go back to reality.

The narrators are magnificient. Makes you want to see what they look like in real life to put to those beautiful voices-- but that's a big no no-- I like my fantasy.

Definately recommend you take a look

An amazing read, beautifully written. Something we could all hope for in our own end, for those we love to keep going knowing they are safe and will be happy. The choice of narrator confuses me. I think it could have been better with a male reading two different male parts but it really didn't deter from the story. Far different than my normal BDSM choices. Makes you think.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Bring back Molly Quinn or Natalie Moore, and Ed Westwick. They nailed it, brought the books to life. I'm sure these narrators would be fabulous in their own series- changing narrators wasn't the best idea.

What didn’t you like about Jason Dohring and Sophie Turner ’s performance?

Their accents are off. Sophie is passable but ...Clary is a New Yorker! Where is Jace's sarcasm- the tone is off- sounds lifeless.. I LOVE this series- but new narrators do not do the storyline justice- they even botch the pronunciation of common terms throughout the series. The book is well written. I was looking forward to this for so long :(

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The book itself is great!

Any additional comments?

Can we re-do the narration with our old narrators?

What made the experience of listening to Lover Mine the most enjoyable?

Jim Frangione brings this book to life. I have read AND listened to all of them and this narrator nails it everytime! JR WARDS writing is ALWAYS phenomenal! This series is one of the best out there for paranormal romance ( with J Frank and G Showlater OF COURSE)

What did you like best about this story?

John Matthews getting what he deserves- a powerfully strong woman in Xhex

Have you listened to any of Jim Frangione’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

amazing

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

You can not make a film about a series and get it right, Besides an appropriate TAG line would be so inappropriate

Any additional comments?

Get the whole series- start at book 1 and work your way up. When you get to Vishous- think David Gandy and all will be right in the world :)

Magnus is a man of contradictions - a spiritual leader in a warrior's body. To him, laws are for enforcing and visions must be followed - even if that means freeing a beautiful slave and making her his reluctant handmaiden. Betrayed once before, Magnus can barely bring himself to trust another woman. Yet Daenaira's fiery innocence is drawing them both into a reckless inferno of desire. Daenaira grew up hearing tales of a fearsome priest who seemed more myth than reality. But Magnus is very real - every inch of him - and so is the treachery surrounding them.

Among the Shadowdwellers, Trace holds power that some are willing to kill for. Without a stranger's aid, one rival would surely have succeeded, but Trace's brush with death is less surprising to him than his reaction to the beautiful, fragile human who heals him. By rights, Trace should hardly even register Ashla's existence within the realm of Shadowscape, but instead he is drawn to everything about her-her innocence, her courage, and her lush, sensual heat.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator- voice is very stuffy. Maybe too old sounding as well. Sounds almost as if reading a manual of some sort, technical tone to her voice. Made it hard to feel the book, and find the voice of the author. She would be better suited for a conspiracy novel.

Would you be willing to try another one of Kirsten Potter’s performances?

NO

Do you think Ecstasy needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, but with a new narrator

Any additional comments?

I think I would rather have "read" this book than "heard" it. Some romance was lost "in translation"
