As the landlord of The Dragon's Lair and leader of The Black Dragons Motorcycle Club, Axel Carmichael has seen it all and done it all. He's a respected and experienced dom. Nothing shocks him anymore, and nobody catches him off guard. When Bayden rides up to The Dragon's Lair on a bike worth more than most men earn in a year, and immediately demonstrates that he has far more attitude than sense, it's easy for Axel to write him off as a silly little rich boy who's about to get himself killed.

If you are looking for a story with explicit BDSM scene after scene, move along. This is a wonderfully deep story of building trust and overcoming hesitations. Kim Dare did a wonderful job of building the relationship step by step and not missing a thing. I would 100% reccomend even if your tastes shy away from BDSM. Only one possible point could be a trigger, but even that is mollified by the caring and support between the characters.

the story was nice, Mary Calmes is a wonderful storyteller, but the narration kind of lost it for me. there was not any/enough differentiation between characters and everything was read in the same even tone. Tristan James' voice has that wonderful gravel tone that I feel is necessary for male narration, but there was little inflection and it dragged the story down.

The last person Griffin Shipley expects to find stuck in a ditch on his Vermont country road is his ex-hookup. Five years ago they shared a couple of steamy nights together, but that was a lifetime ago. At 27 Griff is now the accidental patriarch of his family farm. Even his enormous shoulders feel the strain of supporting his mother, his three siblings, and a dotty grandfather. He doesn't have time for the sorority girl who has shown up expecting to buy his harvest at half price.

My name is Danielle DeChenne, and for 18 years I took every punch "destiny" threw at me. Now, I'm no longer a naive girl. Traumatic abuse will do that to you. I was forced to grow up too fast, and the one person I depended on - that gorgeous Marine, Zane - turned his back on me. So now I say screw the lemonade and just give me a bottle of Jack Daniel's, because I don't believe in destiny anymore.

Both the performance and storyline are lacking. the narrator makes characters that are supposed to be strong into simpering voices. Even the main female's internal dialogue voice would have been better than what was used for her interaction voice. The storyline was not fleshed out and unnatural to say the least, especially in the beginning. I would not recommend.

This is my first book by Rachel Van Dyken, and I am not sure if it was the overall story that I struggled with or the narriation. Jeremy York has a nice deep voice, but his female character voices are distracting. There are some holes in the story that could have been fleshed out a bit more to pull the reader into the story more.
