In a world where those with special abilities like Gael’s are regarded as freaks and monsters, it won’t be easy for him to rely on his regular new partner to have his back, especially when the abilities of a vulnerable, nonspeaking, enhanced child make that child a murder suspect.

Gary escaped his fundamentalist family and their crazy church. Pittsburgh, snow, and no job prospects turns fishing coins out of fountains for food into a painful chore. While job-hunting in the busy downtown, Gary gets almost knocked down by some self-important suit. As they grapple, trying not to fall, Gary does the unthinkable. Running late again, Adrian weaves his way through the crows to a critical meeting. A bump, a jostle - he almost landed on the ground, and too bad he’d been so brusque with the tall-and-handsome who kept him from crashing to the sidewalk.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This is sooo clearly a Teen Wolf Fanfiction with only the slightest editing that the only thing that could have made it enjoyable would be it, being up front, changing nothing and putting it on amplification where we could appreciated for what it is and where i didn't pay for it. The writing is ok so why pull to publish? why not write something original?

What do you think your next listen will be?

Probably something derivitive although i am holding out for josh lanyon's the boy with the painful tattoo which was supposed to come out November!

What three words best describe Gus Klondike’s performance?

it was ok

What character would you cut from The Boy and His Wolf?

the guy who is standing in for deputy Parrish although he probably has some story line in the next installment...probably with 'Marcoooscott'

Any additional comments?

i was disappointed i paid for it and will be asking for a refund

Ok, Number ONE Stop Trying To Make Random things Euphemisms FOR A PENIS!!! It is Not an... pulsing rod or a pork sword or a cream cannon or whatever other ridiculous thing Damon Suede could think of to describe cocks. It was distracting and cringe worthy! It removed me from the story and therefor made the listening disjointed!
Number TWO, Charlie David, For the sake of us all, STOP WHISPERING! You can speak quietly without Whispering and you needn't do it ALL THE FRICKING TIME!!

I haven't even finished listening to it yet, I just need to get it off my chest!

I haven't gotten that far yet

What didn’t you like about Charlie David’s performance?

As stated above, the whispering annoyed the absolute bejeezus out of me

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

interesting, easy and stuff

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

it definitely made me want to keep reading on to the 3rd book. I want to know more about Simon and gray and their family. I found cade and rocky a little blah!

Have you listened to any of Robert G. Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I thankfully listened book 1 first and i like his reading and expression!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

umm yea, but i think the first book definitely a better read.

He was dead. And it was murder most foul. If erasing a man's existence could even be called murder. When Damien Mitchell wakes, he finds himself without a life or a name. The Montana asylum's doctors tell him he's delusional and his memories are all lies: he's really Stephen Thompson, and he'd gone over the edge, obsessing about a rock star who died in a fiery crash. His chance to escape back to his own life comes when his prison burns, but a gunman is waiting for him, determined that neither Stephen Thompson nor Damien Mitchell will escape.

What did you love best about Whiskey and Wry?

It was a sound story with well written character that i could lose myself in.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed to a certain extent the predictability of the story, i knew where it was going and so i didn't feel any real gut wrenching angst at any point and the reunion scene was lovely..

Would you listen to another book narrated by Tristan James?

I would, the only reason i had issue with this particular narration was because i felt that he couldn't remember what accent he had given Damien at any given time, sometimes english sometimes american and sometimes irish. It distracted me and left me slightly confused who was narrating at any given point especially with 3rd person pov. That was ny only real gripe with the narration :)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It mostly made me smile although there were some ick factors with the amount of gore spread about by the murderer!

Any additional comments?

the only other thing i have to really say was that i found the sex a bit gratuitous and unneeded to further the story line, don't get me wrong i love a good sex scene but too many make me board and so i tune out until it is over and that happened in this story. On the whole though, an enjoyable read with decent writing and not too trope-ish
