After nearly dying in an assassination attempt, Princess Alessandra of Glorvaird escapes to a place no one would ever think to look for her: small-town Oklahoma and a ranch staffed by a herd of woolly, uncouth cowboys. One cowboy in particular gets under her skin, until she sees his softer side. She knows this interlude can’t last forever, but that doesn’t stop her from wishing it might....

Had to stop reading when a character was diagnosed with 'terminal MS.' MS is NOT a terminal disease. And since it can go into spontaneous remission, having 'his doctors' give him a year to live is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Could not listen to this, no matter how good the writer is,

It wasn't supposed to be like this.... I wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at 28. And I most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot. Now I'm stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he's incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I've had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right? Wrong. Gabriel Evans is rude and crude and drinks way too much, and as soon as his foot is healed I'm out of here. So why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds?

Got as far as Chapter 14 and just couldn't listen anymore. So far most of the 'story' is talking about their private parts. As far as the actual 'story,' if you put the two main characters versions of the 'accident' - it makes no sense. I'm turning this back in and don't think I'll be reading anything else from this author,

This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS, and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it's not true love. It's a bun in the oven, and I'm not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick coworker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty, and wild - and he's also a notorious commitmentphobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me. I won't fall for him, he won't fall for me, and there's no way baby will make three. Right?

I almost quit listening to the book a couple of times. The actual story might have made a novella! Most of the book, however, is made up of gratuitous sex scenes and lots of "I can't let him near me again, but I can't help myself..." yada yada yada (seems half of the books I've read lately consider that a story.) I'm also tired of 'strong' women who don't show much of a backbone in the story, other characters have to keep talking about how strong they are. I also had a really hard time believing the heroine could possibly be the town's fire chief, let alone a good one.

Celebrities hold zero interest for photographer Jo Wilder. That's a problem, since snapping pics of the stars is how the pretty paparazza pays the rent. So when Jo attempts to catch a money shot atop the broad shoulders of a helpful bystander, the only thing she notices about the stranger she straddles is that he's seriously hot. Only later does Jo learn that he's also Micah Sinclair - one of rock's notorious bad boys....

It wasn't the way this kind of story was supposed to go...insta-love isn't supposed to turn into insta-hate. But that's exactly what happened when the dreamboat I met in a bar turned out to be a lying, cheating scumbag looking for nothing but a little side action. And he has the nerve to call me a liar and a "sociopath"? Asshole. And now, three months later, it turns out my boss is marrying his sister in Hawaii and I've got to play nice with him for an entire freaking week.

This is a book for those who like a little story between the sex scenes. I happen to prefer a good story. I spent a lot of time fast forwarding through the sex scenes (FYI having an Echo Dot aids in this.) The characters are fine, but I had a hard time buying into some of the things they did, especially Tessa.
