Very Agatha Christie, which is always a great story but I found it predictable. Similar settings, more modern of course, but a very traditional whodunnit.
The character descriptions and build up were well done.

The life of Princess May of Teck is one of the great Cinderella stories in history. From a family of impoverished nobility, she was chosen by Queen Victoria as the bride for her eldest grandson, the scandalous Duke of Clarence, heir to the throne, who died mysteriously before their marriage. Despite this setback, she became queen, mother of two kings, grandmother of the current queen, and a lasting symbol of the majesty of the British throne.

What did you love best about Blink?

The suspense was spot on, the author did a fantastic job of building up suspense and having me guessing right up until the end.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The author has so many great ideas and clearly knows how to write, but the ending felt forced and hurried. Felt like the author had a deadline that was sneaking up and had to bring it to a quick close.

What does Lucy Price-Lewis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Loved the accent.

Its owner, Edith, refused to let guests inside and rarely visited the nearby town. Following Edith's death, her sole surviving relative, Adrienne, inherits the property. Adrienne's only possessions are a suitcase of luggage, 20 dollars, and her pet cat. Ashburn House is a lifeline she can't afford to refuse. Adrienne doesn't believe in ghosts, but it's hard to ignore the unease that grows as she explores her new home.

Any additional comments?

The story left me with many questions around the main character. What happened to her family, why did she not have ANY friends and how could she have moved to such a remote place by herself without researching it? I did enjoy the amount of information that was given and how it was given to the main character near the end.
Plus, I just love a creepy old house. This author always does a great job of describing these settings.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

People who enjoy a good romance would love this book. It has a lovely ending with a nod to the next series.... I love that.
I personally am not a romance novel person. The other two books I have read from this author did not have a romantic theme so I was surprised.
Also, the main character drove me nuts, simpering perhaps?

What didn’t you like about Caitlin Kelly’s performance?
