Sixteen-year-old Echo Navarri, daughter of world-famous archaeologists Alice and Peter Navarri, had spent her life traveling from one expedition to the next as her parents unearthed lost civilizations. On their 13th dig, Midnight, Echo's twin sister, disappears without a trace. This prompts a year-long search that leaves the family nearly broken. In an attempt to find some closure, they reluctantly host a mock funeral for Midnight without ever recovering her remains.

I couldn't even get through the book. The narration made this character, who I bet is fun and awesome...boring and dull. I'm going to give the book a read instead of a listen

Home alone on the night of her 25th birthday, Air Force Sergeant Christine Canady yearned for something to cure her loneliness. After drinking too much champagne, she recited a divine invocation to revive her humdrum life. But how was she to know the spell would actually work? When her plane crashes into the ocean, CC's life changes forever. She awakens, bewildered, to find herself in a legendary time and place ruled by magic - and in the body of the mythic mermaid Undine.

Good story! Could have been great. The reader is the single most awful narrator I’ve ever listened to. :(

With all of the pluck and charm of its eponymous young hero, Rachel McAdams ( The Notebook, Spotlight, Midnight in Paris) delivers a spectacular reading of Montgomery's beloved bildungsroman. In moments both funny and bittersweet, McAdams' voice is imbued with the spark that has made Anne a much-loved symbol of individualism and cheer for over a century.

Throughout the vast lands controlled by the Ironship Trading Syndicate, nothing is more prized than the blood of drakes. Harvested from captive or hunted Reds, Greens, Blues, and Blacks, it can be distilled into elixirs that bestow fearsome powers on the rare men and women known as the Blood-blessed. But not many know the truth: that the lines of drakes are weakening. If they fail, war with the neighboring Corvantine Empire will follow swiftly.

I love Anthony Ryan's story. I hate this reader. I am so over the awful way he tells a wonderful authors story.

PLEASE change readers. PLEASE don't tell me you contracted with him for the whole series Anthony.
