Thomas always enjoyed kingdom/city simulation games. When he discovers there is a kingdom building expansion to the hugely popular VRMMORPG Lewd Saga, he is determined to join the sensual fantasy game and build his destiny. Thomas becomes Edric Temple, summoner and adventurer, searching for others to help build a kingdom while a war rages across all of Lukken. The player slowly realizes Lewd Saga is more than just a fantasy game. Dark plots, torn hearts, and medieval politics will place the summoner in the eye of the storm between guilds, troll masters and what his heart truly desires.

Let me start by saying that this is an adult harem story. That part of the overall story is fairly good.

The actual rest of the story, you know - when the characters aren't engaged in sex, was too predictable and uninteresting. The world of the actual book is hard to get into when it feels like it steps on it's own feet. This creates a lot of disconnects and continuity errors for things the story has already stated. In addition, the dialogue between characters felt poorly timed and fake, like it was just stating things to move on to the next sex scene.

That said, the concept of the book itself is cool and has a lot of potential; however, everything outside a sex scene was hard to listen to and wasn't executed well. I will also say that the voice actor for this story was good and I enjoyed her performance.

In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.

I was deeply reluctant to buy this. Saw it pop up several times in my recommended audio books but it never peaked my interest. I listened to the of the authors other books (Dungeon Deposed) and decided to give it a try. Turns out, it was really good. I loved the story and I felt for the characters. The chemistry and dynamic between them was quite nice.

If you are into fantasy type stuff - its worth a listen.

The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

Loved it. looking forward to the next book. Great world building and creativity. Not a fan of the real life references but they don't negatively impact anything. Definitely worth listening too if you liked the divine dungeon series or like litrps. Here's to hoping the next book comes out soon!

What can a game clan accomplish without a castle? The answer is obvious: nothing. Therefore, the main objective of any leader in a game world is to acquire a base of operations. Finding himself in exactly this position, High Shaman Mahan, leader of the Legends of Barliona, accepts an offer from the Emperor and the Dark Lord to vanquish the army of Phantoms that has inhabited Altameda, the phantom castle.

Good concept. I appreciated the world building and set up. it felt realistic in that it is definitely the same types of events that I could see being plausable. It was slow at points and I felt like there were things in there that didn't nessecarily qualify as fluff, but didn't advance the plot. That said, I look forward to listening to a sequel.

For Riley and his friends, Sigil Online has never been more real. With the latest expansion, pain has been enabled and will now affect all players in-game. Aptly named "Hellions", the expansion introduces monsters, but not the kind that paragons have been fighting for the past several years. This time, players can be the monsters they once sought to destroy. But in a game where playing means having the money to survive in the real world, what will Riley do when death in the game doesn't just mean an end to his character, but an end to his life?

Lazarus Cain is a member of the Grim Shadows, one of the Thieves Guilds in the city of Eberia. Unfortunately, Lazarus is having a bad day. Waking up in a torture chamber, suffering from amnesia, he'd be pretty much screwed if not for the mysterious, magical sigil burned into his chest. Sometimes a really bad day should be shared with others, especially professional torturers.

For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

I wasn't expecting much but this blew me away. I hope there's more! the build up an world building was very satisfying and I loved the duality in character design between the main two characters. In addition, the perspective changes added a lot of flavor to the story and I was surprised by how much I wanted to hear Cal's perspective. Most surprisingly, i liked how the story made me recall past rpg experiences. If you have ever played a rpg before, you will find that this story echos the experiences you've had.

I hope there's more!
