An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

If there is an award for best performance in an audio book this performance should be considered. As you progress through the story and the evidence unfolds, you wonder how it is going to play out in the end. Excellent writing to a unique storyline.

It was wonderful to be young and working on Wall Street in the 1980s - never had so many 24-year-olds made so much money in so little time. In this shrewd and wickedly funny audiobook, Michael Lewis describes an astonishing era and his own rake's progress through a powerful investment bank.

Good book depicting story of the author’s journey into Wall Street which he outlined he stumbled upon and didn’t initially feel worthy of the position. Great insight and lessons learned. Only issue is not in the story but in the audible presentation. There was about three times in the story cheesy music that would randomly come on and off which had no relation or connection to the place in the story or the story itself.

Cane River is an isolated community that lies on a small river in central Louisiana. There in the early 19th century, slaves, free people of color, and Creole French planters lived and worked, loved and bore children. And there, 165 years later, Tademy discovers her amazing heritage. Beginning with her great-great-great-great grandmother, a slave owned by a Creole family, Tademy chronicles four generations of strong, determined black women.

The story teller was amazing. The book portrays a story not heard during America's history of the pre and post civil war era. The evils of slavery and the ramifications of it. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the audiobook. I only wish Phil would of spent time discussing Michael Jordan and the history of the Air Jordan shoe. Air Jordans transformed Nike to an unprecedented level. Outside of this misstep, I greatly appreciate the history within this memoir. If this memoir doesn't awake your entrepreneurial spirit nothing will.

By forcing us to apply a more selective criteria for what is Essential, the disciplined pursuit of less empowers us to reclaim control of our own choices about where to spend our precious time and energy - instead of giving others the implicit permission to choose for us. Essentialism is not one more thing - it’s a whole new way of doing everything. It’s about doing less, but better, in every area of our lives. Essentialism is a movement whose time has come.
