There are three things you need to know about Elizabeth Bennett: She's smart as a whip, always in control, and lives by a set of carefully crafted rules. She's learned the hard way that people you love the most always hurt you in the end. But then she meets Declan Blay, the new neighbor at her apartment complex. A tattooed British street fighter, he's the campus bad boy she's supposed to avoid, but when he saves her from a frat party gone bad, all her rules about sex and love fly out the window.

I was reluctant to listen to this due to negative reviews. This isn't a book that is based on Pride and Prejudice's Elizabeth Bennett. It never attempted to make you believe that. It is a girl that was named Elizabeth Bennett. She happened to like the book too. I enjoyed the understandable angst in this story. I understood her "rules" and the reason behind them. I felt maybe the characters could have been developed a touch better but really enjoyed them. The narration was flawless.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Call Me by Your Name first swept across the world in 2007. It is the story of a sudden and powerful romance that blossoms between an adolescent boy and a summer guest at his parents' cliffside mansion on the Italian Riviera. During the restless summer weeks, unrelenting but buried currents of obsession, fascination, and desire intensify their passion as they test the charged ground between them and verge toward the one thing both already fear they may never truly find again: total intimacy.

The narrator did a great job. The story was really good but bordered on the line of too flowery. Just a touch more would have made it hard to follow. The amount that it had, made me zone out at times and not hear what was truly being said. I would zone back in and think, did I miss something.

The book is good. I found myself rolling my eyes a bit at the heroine. The idea that she held on to the belief that it was a game got pretty awkward since the guy had no clue what she was talking about. That does get situated but it was awkward that she kept on.The narration was really good. I am sure I will listen to the next book. But I am not on the edge of my seat for it. The 1st book was better.

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn't everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt. His name is Hudson Fenn, and he's frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince - along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering.

I took a drama class in high school. The way this book came together reminded me of how 1 person's imagination feeds another's imagination. It was fun to see all these artistic minds come together to make one outlandish story. I liked the characters and narrator. It got 4 stars just due to the unbelievable content. Good book. Very worth the listen.

They say Paris is always a good idea.... You know what I say? Paris would be a much better idea if I spoke the dang language. I can't even board the metro to visit the Louvre without ending up at the Moulin Rouge, and let's not even mention how I'll ever make it through a day at my new office. Fortunately my company hooks me up with my own personal translator. Ooh la la. Or should I say bloody hell? Because he's charming, witty, and British, and he brings the city to life for me.
