It can get complicated, especially considering she has a husband and two kids. But the worst is deciding how to explain her crazy, mixed-up life to her kids. So far, her explanations have all been laced in lies, and she worries that if the truth ever comes out, they will never trust her again.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I read this book after reading Kane and Abel and it pretty much repeats the story from the daughter's angle. Interesting but I literally knew exactly what took place on every chapter and it got boring pretty fast.

If you haven't read the first book it would be probably be interesting but if choosing between the two, read the first one and stop there. Not worth bothering with this one.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not sure

What aspect of Lorelei King’s performance would you have changed?

Excellent performance

Do you think The Prodigal Daughter needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes but with a different story, no more repetition

Any additional comments?

Don't make 2 books of the same story.

When siblings Dan and Hayley Daley inherit their late grandmother's derelict Victorian farmhouse, it seems like a dream come true. All they have to do is fix the place up and sell it for a tidy profit! Except - as anyone who has renovated an old house knows - things are never that easy. The walls are rapidly crumbling around them, the architect is a certified lunatic, the budget is spiraling...and then there's the disturbingly intelligent cow to worry about.
