book was okay, but switch the narrator from the first 15 books to this guy really screwed up the experience and enjoyment of the book. the messed up pronunciations, the whiney characters made this one a tough book in the series to get through. the book series is decent, changing narrators...not so much

just say no to the guy reading

the book was passible, but attempted relationship development and supposed periods of sex between characters was HORRIBLE.....with the auther putting it in there the way he did, would been better off leaving it out completely or just saying...they had sex....it was made 100 times worse by the narrator. i really had to push through to finish it and am seriously considering trying to get my money back. there are so many better choices out there...my appologies to the author, but it could have been so much better

struggled to finish this one

when the author talked of viruses, how they spread different incidents from around the world, it was good. When he started talking about Hurricane Katrina then the rant on global warming, it seemed like he lost focus on the book he was writing and wanted to start crusading about climate change, granted tempature rise will effect a lot of things, including viruses and disease, it felt like the author drifted off the heart of the book and was writing something else.

the stor had potential but the reading was so montone and lifeless, i had to do this one in segments. Also the author focuses a little too much on himself during the story, which makes it drag even more. the story could have been great but with the reading , i would recomend...save your money

had potential but overal....meh

i liked the idea behind the story, had great potential, but the character building really wasn't there the fight attack scenes were just kind of there....it was hard to stay focused on it. I considered stopping the book and switching to something else on multiple occasions, but I did end up forcing myself to the end. overall, it wasn't bad and as the story went on it did get better, but this is a series where I listened to the first one and I'm done. The author has potential, to me...it's not quite here...sorry. Oh and maybe a different person reading it would make it a little better. The guy was clear, but a little too mono tone for me. needs a little more Ray Porter or R.C. Bray to his style.

amazing that the story was written so long ago but still fits. I enjoyed the book, but the audio really should be redone in full. there are places all over the book where it's pretty obvious it was sliced together with audio recorded at a different time and place....not story related more like it sounds like the original was damaged so they just recorded a few lines and threw it back in... very annoying and distracting but at least the story was good... ohh and funny how chapter 8 reminds me of the current disaster of our society... that whole late chapter 7 and all of chapter 8 is worth listening to by itself

Sold after the first few chapters

Never heard or read anything from this offer but after listening to the first few chapters, I bought the next book in the series. The author is good, and the orator is not only good, but when the character in the book spazes out, the Orator makes it fun and believable. I like it and hope their is a book 3...listening to book 2 right now.
