The Galahad, a faster-than-light spacecraft, carries 50 scientists and engineers on a mission to prepare Kepler 452b, Earth's nearest habitable neighbor at 1400 light years away. With Earth no longer habitable and the Mars colony slowly failing, they are humanity's best hope. After 10 years in a failed cryogenic bed - body asleep, mind awake - William Chanokh's torture comes to an end as the fog clears, the hatch opens, and his friend and fellow hacker, Tom, greets him...by stabbing a screwdriver into his heart. This is the first time William dies.

I loved this story. It was like riding on one of the super roller-coasters. It has more high-speed twists, turns, upside-down sections than most books. It also has very good Si-Fi as well. A surprise ending too. I highly recommend this book! Now for the obligatory: "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

I enjoyed this audiobook. There are very few audiobooks of any genre that are specifically revolving around black people. Although I am not black myself, I fully enjoyed this book. The story had a great move along then slow down followed by move along tempo. I recommend this audiobook. When recently divorced Catherine Shaw tries to reconnect with her young son Jordan by taking him on vacation in Yellowstone National Park, a series of disturbing events lead her to believe that the dormant supervolcano is on the brink of erupting. With the clocking ticking down and the aid of a damaged deputy park ranger, they will have to do more than convince the park superintendent of the imminent disaster. Thousands of blissfully unaware tourists have flocked to the serene park, trouble makers are on the loose, and not everyone wants to listen.

Smarter is a near future sci-fi/thriller whose young heroine, Ell Donsaii, we learned in Quicker, has a nerve mutation that makes her an athletic phenomenon, so fast that no one can keep up with her. Like Stieg Larsson's Lisbeth Salander (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Ell is a mathematical genius who, while trying to drift off to sleep, instead of counting sheep, has developed a new theory of quantum mechanics. At once shy and concerned about her social skills, yet loved by those around her, she goes to grad school to try to understand experimental physics.
