In Avenging Home, we see how the long-running battle between Morgan's people and their number one nemesis plays out. While Morgan thinks this is the biggest threat they face, there are things on the horizon he cannot yet see that are going to dwarf these problems. Morgan has lived in a vacuum. He's had little information about the outside world. While he's used radios to listen to what he can, there's been precious little real information.

I enjoyed this book, it was a good listen but some things were very typical of Nora. Her endings always seem rushed to me. I see her sitting at her computer just hammering out the last chapter in ten minutes so she can call it done. Other than the rushed ending it was easy to figure who the killer was, which is not very typical but I think this book is more about the main characters life with the killer just added for some extra drama. Overall this book is worth a credit and you'll enjoy the story!

This book was fantastic. It really gets the imagination going and gets you wondering what is really out there. Sadly the second book in the series goes in a very different direction and is nowhere near as good as this book. I recommend reading this book and not bother wasting a credit on the second.

Dennis Mira just had two unpleasant surprises. First he learned that his cousin Edward was secretly meeting with a real estate agent about their late grandfather's magnificent West Village brownstone, despite the promise they both made to keep it in the family. Then, when he went to the house to confront Edward about it, he got a blunt object to the back of the head.

I've read the entire series and I don't really come back for the murder mystery part of the book. I keep coming back because of the amazing job Roberts has done with character development. After so many books with these characters I feel like they all are close personal friends I know them so well. I will say in the next book I really hope to see Captain Dallas, and please bring back crack!! Haven't heard anything about crack in the last few books!

First off the narration was by far the worst I've heard yet on audible. It got so frustrating I couldn't even finish the book. He just over acted every line. I recommend not buying this book just for that.

Second, I love the ledger series and can't believe the same author wrote this book. The story is ridiculous, slow and frustrating. The main character Dez comes off as a baddass for 30 seconds then a whiny crybaby for the next 30. It's just odd. I'm very disappointed. To the people that said this was a great zombie book, you should read zombie fallout. 100x better than this crap.

The story was very good and kept me wrapped up in it but I was not a fan of the music and sound affects in the background. At a few points the sound affects were so loud I could barely make out the words and if you make the bad decision of using sound effects in a book don't just loop the same affect over and over! Everything else was great, both the narrators did a good job.

What made the experience of listening to Inner Harbor the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed this series a lot but I am disappointed with this last book. It seems that this book was short and very rushed compared to the last two. This could have very easily had several more chapters in between beginning and end. The performance was very good which I find very important in an audio book as some narrators are so bad I can't even finish the book. Overall a good read, but it could have been much better.
